Pad Patter: 9/13 - 1 Random Fact about You

Wow...great random facts everyone! What a fun read! My random fact is.....I can't whistle. I have tried. I have had numerous people try to teach me different ways to produce the sound. It just won't happen. I thought if I practiced for a few minutes each day it would happen but here I am, in my 50's, and it hasn't happened yet. It is quite pitiful actually. This little airy squeak comes out of me. My dog looks at me like I'm crazy. Then my hubs will whistle and my retriever will jump right up and run to him.

Son (D) and DH completely agree with you. Any raw tomato on their plate, somehow mysteriously ends up on mine, anywhere we are at. D doesn't yell "Ew" while doing it anymore, but you can tell he's thinking it.

my maiden surname and my married surname have the same translated meaning, even though they are of differing heritages/nationalities.
 
I like natural light. A closed up house makes me feel claustrophobic.
 
When I was younger I used to break out in big red itchy hives when my skin was cold. I was allergic to cold temperatures! I eventually grew out of it.
 
I met a gorgeous gold-medal-winning Cuban baseball player while I was volunteering (doing security) with the Goodwill games. We flirted back and forth via a Mexican translator over the course of several days. When he received his gold medal, he also got a bouquet of flowers. As soon as everyone had their medals/flowers, he walked across the stadium (even though the ceremony was still going on) and handed his flowers to me. The whole stadium crowd went, "Awwwww..." and clapped/cheered. Crazy moment.
 
I hate butter, can't even stand the smell of it. If I eat even a super small size of anything that has butter on it I throw up. For real!
 
I have already decided, with my boyfriend, the names of our future cats (Sassafras, Ser-pounce-a-lot and Trappola)
actual cat is Rain
we had a Chewbacca and a Luna.
 
when I was 5, I mistaken an lizard egg for a candy.. put it in my mouth.. bite the egg and ... I am still alive but the baby lizard is dead!!

this is same in our family my mom and her sister married 2 brothers and to complicate it even more my best friend has the same cousins i do but we are not related and we only found this out via facebook small world hey
 
I met my husband on May 31, 2002. He proposed on May 31, 2003. Our twin sons were born on May 31, 2007. I would love some interpretations of the significance of this date!
 
I had an arranged marriage .......contrary to popular belief...I wasn't forced into it...we just met through family. Happily married now to the most awesome guy I ever met ...yep ...we're talking about the same guy my family introduced me to :)
