Pad Patter: 9/10 - Stitches

I fell head-first into a pile of rocks when I was about 4 and needed stitches to fix up the gash in the middle of my forehead. Other than that my other stitches were all during childbirth. Needless to say, I did not have the wonderful doula that Laura did and I tore. Bad. Every. Single. Time. *shudder*

I had one stitch when I was about 18 months old and fell into a corner. No stitches from child birth...

I stepped on glass when I was 5 and needed stitches. I was working when I was about 17 and a bottle of soda exploded cutting my hand so I got stitches then as well. I recently cut my arm and needed stitches.

Yes to stitches (and staples) for me... though I won't go into the details here b/c I am feeling light headed enough after reading those above.

three years ago now (four?) I dropped a pair of VERY sharp embroidery scissors from the ironing board (why were they on that ironing board anyway?) and I was terrified they'd fall on the floor and cut it and dh would yell at me. So what did I do? I made a grab for them...still makes my palms sweat just thinking about what I did...I ended up puncturing the skin between my thumb and pointer, you know the part, the part of skin that connects the two and is ALWAYS in motion? I had a hole. It was a Sunday. to the E.R. we went. and although dh was convinced I just needed a bandaid and was irritated at my ruining his sunday, I DID need stitches.
