I can't believe it's the last day of August and Labor Day weekend. :tantrum

Anyway, how was your August?

Aside from flying by, we had a good one! I did some fun events, had some good runs, did some shopping with the kids, they went back to school, my dh got his pilot's license FINALLY... busy but fun month!

Well as of the end of August, I have two (count 'em) two kids in college... I mean, I've always realized they get older but really, both in college! Because of the end of school and my boy scout responsibilities, I've had an amazing amount of free time over the summer. I've been excited to keep up with Project Life AND actually scrapbook pages as well. I can't believe I've done 31 layouts in August! I've scanned a lot of older slides and photos that I've been meaning to do. Now I just have to get a little more caught up on my photo tagging!

I bit the bullet and bought CS6 so will be making the switch from PSE. I hope I'll still be able to figure out how to scrap. Heather(gw) said just force myself not to use PSE and I'll get used to it, so that's what I'm going to do.

And fun news: My online group of digi friends has begun planning our next get-together for fall of 2013, so lots of suggestions are being tossed around about that!

August kinda bit for me. It just hasn't been a great month...trying to lesson plan and collect stuff for school took so much more time than it usually does this year. I've only managed to scrap 1 TLP challenge (last month I think I was done with all of them before the 15th), I haven't even thought about project life, and my house is a pit. And to end the month our brake pads and rotors need replaced on our car and I have a horrible toothache.

It wasn't all bad though, I did get to spend a day at six flags with one of my friends (we have season's passes and were able to get her and her daughter in for free). Her daughter is quite a bit younger than my DD but they get along great despite the 5 year age difference. And I was so proud of DD for taking time to ride some of the kiddie rides with her. Plus it was just a good day with some adult company other than DH (whose adultness is questionable on the best of days). DD and I even got to ride a couple of roller coasters, We were only in line for one of the coasters for 15 minutes or so and the other was walk on...it was definitely a great day to go to the amusement park.

I'm excited about September...hopefully getting back into the swing of things after a week of school will be easier. Our homeschool groups start up again and we have a couple of fun trips planned, plus DD has her second horse riding show in a couple of weeks. Excited for lots of fun stuff to scrap. It feels like this summer was just a lot of sitting in our apt. I'm so looking forward to the cooler weather. :)

My August was way crazy. Fun, but jam packed. We took a road trip earlier in the month. We started here in Texas and drove north to Utah and then back down again through arizona. We hit five states in seven days and saw some beautiful country. It was a lot of fun but kind of hectic with the kids.

A couple of days after we got back from that we had friends over from Germany so that kept us busy for a week and then a couple of days after that my son started first grade. He is ending hid first week now and thankfully he loves it. I am really looking forward to September being quieter. I have scrapping to do! :)

I can't cope with the title of this thread.

Seriously, how did this month fly by SO quickly?!? August was a blur. Of preparing for the school year, adapting to the school year routine and activities and such. Busy busy. I too am looking forward to September slowing a little bit and putting plans to action for work and scrapping. Hoping it will be both more productive and balanced. :) Looking forward to the weather cooling even a wee bit too! That will be lovely!

August was busy for me! I always have great hopes of having a relaxing summer, but somehow it never happens.
Even though I'm sad the summer is over, I am kind of glad September is here, even though it is going to be a busy busy fall. DH is going back to school so that's exciting. :)

August was good but cant believe its the end already, the kids have had almost 6 weeks off from school,im not ready for them to go back yet.August was good,of course it was it was my birthday so was spoilt rotten,i had a brand new car this month too what more can a girl want
I think i have loved august 2012

i feel like it was split in 2... 2 weeks before school and 2 1/2 weeks of being in school. all a bit crazy and busy and a bit of a blur. and hot.

August was busy for me. New class, lots of new kids, and some of them with various special needs. I'm ending August with a sick little one, so hopefully September will get better! :)

most of august really sucked.. but i've really enjoyed the end of it :] yay!

I keep asking myself this same thing......where did the month go? Feels like I slept thru it!

it felt like it would never end! seriously!!

i've been having a hard time with Tobias back at preschool (100%), in-laws, head aches and a dead iphone.
i really hope september will be a better one!

it was pretty busy but i'm happy that i've managed to do all!! my house is in order includes laundry (YAY), i'm back to my daily exercises and i have plenty of time to scrap for TLP! thanks God :-)

YAY for pilot license! How exciting!!!

Our's was a busy August...trying to get things done for school, my big surgery and trying to enjoy the last few weeks of summer vacation!

August was crazy - it's been a non-scrapping month, and almost no time online - between vacations, and the failure of the docking station for my main drive, I just haven't been around working computers. I'm looking forward to more scrap time in September!

I had a mostly good month, except I've been getting more and more migraines, so I need to go to the doctor for that. :/

August was loooooooong. Probably because there was so much to do so it creeped by. Mixed feelings about being in Sept already.

My last day of August was awful! Flat tire on the highway!!! But otherwise, I had a pretty good month. Time with my family and friends. Some time off from work to do fun things like go to museums and the beach! Penny go to go to the beach for the first time too! :)
