Do you like it? Not for you?

I like it until I start losing, then I'm ready to go home. :giggle

Not for me. I don't even like to part with a buck for a scratch off. I like a sure thing!

Meh. We have a couple casinos near us, so I've been maybe twice? I went to Vegas once and did some nickel slots and a couple other things, but I don't really care one way or the other. I usually go in with what i feel comfortable losing (no more than $20) and then if that's gone, I'm done. Strangely enough, I don't think I've ever left without winning more than I took in.

I have a been in a casino once in my life. I was with my husband (I don't think we were married yet though) and a couple his friends and one of the guys found out I'd never been to a casino so he decided that I should. I walked up to a table and immediately lost his dollar. Fun times.

We do buy lottery tickets from time to time. Maybe a couple of times a year for powerball (we used to call it a dollar for a dream...but of course now it's two dollars) and scratch offs a few times a year (there is always a scratch off in our Christmas stockings though).

I've never been to a casino to gamble just to eat - haha! But it was for a work function so it was nice to do something away from the office! We might buy the occasional lottery ticket but it's rare and not very often. If I did go to a casino, I'd be like Karen! :)

Love the ones in Washington...not so much the ones here in the Vancouver area. I don't go often b/c losing can really suck, obviously. But, when you win it is so much fun. I won about $650 a few months ago and I was so excited I thought my heart would jump out of my chest LOL. We are going to our trailer in Washington today for the wkend and tomorrow night we're heading down to the casino. Fingers crossed I have a good night. My hubs loves it too. Just wish we had more money to go more often but it's probably just as well b/c we don't always win.

no not for me i used to do arcades when on holiday but even they dont bother me anymore just got to drag the kids away from the flashy lights now

Too much of a conservative accountant here. I've been to Vegas several times, no gambling for me, I'd rather spend money on Cirque de Soleil shows or shopping. To me gambling is stressful.

The hubby and I got married in Vegas (alas, in the unexciting Justice of the Peace office, not by an Elvis Impersonator in a drive through!). We stayed at the Excalibur Hotel and played the quarter slots. We won about $51 the first night.

Occasionally, if I was going to be it would be betting on horse races rather than slot machines etc - a bit more control over the odds I think. I worked in a club that had poker machines in them, put me off that side of gambling. It was a bit sad to see the people there during the day, zombie like - no enjoyment, just a habit.

I have two cousins whose marriages broke up due to their husbands being addicted to gambling - not a fun side at all.

not for me wither sorry - my Dad was a gambling addict, its not pretty. But that being said I will buy a Lotto ticket every now and then .... you have to be in it to win it :D

It gives me palpitations just thinking of losing my hard earned money in this way. EEK. I'm a bit of a miser, LOL.

Where I'm staying, going to the casino is more of a special occasion thing. It's not like in America. Over here there is a dresscode (e.g. tie for guys) for letting you in and everybody is wearing nice clothes, even quite formal. It's also way more expensive.

I've never been to the US but I've been to US-style casinos in South Africa where you can walk in in shorts and flip-flops coming from the beacht and also just play for small money. Luckily I lose interest quickly if I start losing money, but when the credits on the slot machines go up, my heart starts racing.

Guess it's a good thing that I only gamble (a bit) when I'm on holiday! ;-)

My father in law won quite a big amount once that allowed him to buy himself the nice expensive camera he had been dreaming off. I also really like seeing other people win!

Here are my experiences in gambling:
1. Senior Prom. Our senior prom was a "cruise" on Lake Michigan. They provided Monopoly money for gambling.
2. One scratch-off ticket. And I didn't win a darn cent.

I HATE losing, especially money. So, no. I don't gamble.

No. Totally not. And I almost never win anything, so it's better to stay away...

Nope - it's not for me...my theory is that you never are actually winning - same with lotteries and the like. I have been to a few on vacations, just to kill time, but I hate throwing money away - I am too dutch and cheap! :)

No way! It stresses me out! I've only ever gambled twice... once while in Monaco & once on a cruise. I used only the slot machines & gave myself $10 to use. Both times I was able to make it lost longer than I thought but I played til it was gone & I was satisfied. Now if I knew I'd win, I'd play all the time but that wouldn't be gambling. HA!

I took my Nana to Las Vegas for her 70th Birthday and we had a blast. However, she was like a crack addict. We couldn't even stand in line to eat without her playing the slots...lol. That is the only time I have ever actually gambled and I probably won't again anytime soon. I am just glad I could make her that happy. She had never been to Vegas and well, neither had I. It is something I will never forget. My Mom and Dad take her to the casinos in Maryland now and then. She definitely likes to gamble. Guess I didn't get the gambling gene. LOL!

Casinos aren't really fun to me.

However, I've been playing Bingo since I was 16. I love bingo!!! I also really like poker. Nothing high stakes, just a friendly game of Texas Holdem and such. And sometimes we'll buy a lotto ticket. All of these things are pretty rare but I always have fun when we do them.
