Have you any? Spiders? Snakes? Cracks in the sidewalk?

I have a pretty irrational fear of planes crashing, but otherwise I think I'm pretty brave. :giggle

I have an irrational fear of horrible car accidents. Being in one, or affected by one. Though at the same time, I am morbidly interested in them. I know, weird. I think it is a coping technique, like learning all I can type thing.

I have an irrational fear of my children drowning.
I also have this horrible recurring dream that I get into a car accident on the bridge going to the kids' school and the van lands in the river. I hate driving that way to school, but it is the most direct route.

i've always been afraid of drowning (though i'm a pretty good swimmer) and my house burning down. ever since i was little i'd have nightmares of my house catching on fire. still do and every night i create a plan of if the fire occurs how would we evacuate. totally crazy and irrational.

Heights. But I did make it off the high dive once this year. We are in vacation near a spot we came a few years ago. There is a biplane ride I would love to take for the photos but I am too chicken. I really regretted last time. We drove right past it again today but I don't think I can do it.

Irrational - draw bridges or really long bridges over water. I can't imagine driving to the Florida Keys, I'm not sure I'd make it! I do think that my fear of snakes, spiders and roaches are completely rational, though.:whistle

I hate having water in/on my face... as if I will instantaneously drown if I do. I don't even face into the spray in the shower, but towards the wall. I 'back in' to the spray in order to wash up.

I always run through all the worst case scenarios when I'm home alone e.g. what would I do if there was a fire, a burglar, a tornado, etc. I also usually sleep with the lights on as if the bad thing is going to be acomin' for me and then say, 'Hold up! She's got the lights on! Retreat! Retreat!' :giggle

I live close to the border and I have the option of bridge or tunnel to get across the river. I prefer the bridge as in my mind if the bridge breaks I have a chance to survive by jumping out of my car, whereas the tunnel would collapse and I would be trapped. I have thought of this while sitting in traffic on the bridge and I can feel it moving due to weight of the semi trucks......always have a plan, lol.

My house catching on fire when we're not home and I can't get my cat, camera and computer out.

Are clowns are rational or irrational fear?

In my childhood it was caterpillars, witches living in the bottoms of wells (no idea why) and axe murderers - obviously.

these days, I don't like things in the ocean so I rarely go in above my waist (and even then I stood on a small stingray - got me and had a painfully numb foot for a couple of days), enclosed spaces and I don't do well in crowds indoors.

Karen clowns didn't bother me until I saw It when it first came out, now they give me the heebie jeebies.

I have had a fear ever since my son was born that something would happen to his eyes or teeth. I get a sick feeling everytime I see him play with a stick.

I should have never watched "Jaws". That has completely colored my view of swimming in the ocean. Of course, here where there are shark bites all the time my reluctance is not such a bad thing.

Bees. I'll jump up and run around screaming if one gets near me, and I'm usually not a jumper *or* a screamer. I know it's irrational -- that they likely won't sting me at random -- but I can't help myself.
