I feel like it's winding down so fast - what are you looking forward to?

I bought pumpkin k-cups yesterday so I feel like I've already achieved all my fall goals. :giggle

My kids start school tomorrow, and me next week! YIKES!
 
we still have a vacation to start! yay! my kids don't start till after Labor Day. We also have my DH's birthday and a wedding to attend.

I'm not *actually* ready for fall yet...but I'm starting to get there. We have a short summer by a lot of standards since we don't get out till mid-late June....but I'm looking forward to a quiet house to get some projects done.
 
Well, since I noticed our Maple tree in our backyard is already losing leaves... I guess it's hard to deny that fall is coming whether I'm ready or not. I guess I'm looking forward to sweatshirt weather and seeing all the pretty trees turning colors. I'm just not sure that I'm ready for beach days to be over already. We didn't get very many of them this summer because it was so cool.
 
I'm not ready. Especially for homework with the kiddos - that's our sore spot, so summer is a treat!

I'm looking forward to shore days and family time with my little family and my parents. Grilling out, boardwalk, fireworks, and everything else. :)

same here! we have a mini trip to Cape Cod planned for labor day weekend. and then school starts, mid week, after that.

the last 2 days have been so nice with a cool breeze, it is deft'ly starting to feel like fall around here. i will be painting a few rooms in the house this fall ... and attempting to refinish an old desk we found at a tag sale.

Oh Karen, we didn't make it up there at ALL this summer. :(

Since we've been in school for two weeks now, I'm more than ready for fall to begin- pumpkin everything, colorful trees, Irish football, sweatshirts, campfires... I can't wait!!

Do you guys come to st joe in the summer? If you're ever in town, let me know and we could go get ice cream or something. :)
 
Karen, I didn't realize you lived that close! We didn't make it up to Silver Beach this summer, either, but we usually do at least once when we go up to visit my parents in Granger. :)
 
I LOVE fall. And Halloween. And I'm going on a trip in October. So, I'm fairly ready. The one exception is that I teach and I'm always stressed about going back to work. I never feel 100% ready for a new school year. I swear that I am more anxious than most kids!
 
We start back to school after Labour Day as well. I'm ready to see how my students summer was but don't want to give up the luxury of no routine. My son's baseball season ended last week so that was my indication summer is nearing an end and we start hockey this week so that is my reality fall is almost here.

We usually do New Buffalo, but we'll trek over to eat in St. Joe every once in awhile! My mom used to be in charge of marketing at United Fed. CU, so I have grown to love some of your restaurants!! I'll let you know if we come up anytime soon! Fun!
 
Hi everyone, I haven't been here forever and have missed all the wonderful pages. Id like to say I have been so busy scrapping that I haven't been here. But......... its life that has me busy. I watch my 5 granddaughters. My goal by the end of fall is to have my scrapbook room built, I have the room already I just designed my work area :) Im excited and definately will post before and afters when its done. I hope your all doing good.
 
End of winter here!! yay, so want to be warm again - very cold and frosty winter - although I do love my football and will miss that...
 
Baseball uniform washed, folded and ready to turn in. Hockey sweaters and socks in washer for freshening up and equipment being aired out ready for tonight.......my summer is OVER :(
 
Today was the last day of summer school (basically math and literacy camp). Tomorrow is the last day of Beginner Band Camp. Cross Country practice starts Monday.

We actually start back to school on September 2.

Looking forward to Cross Country meets, sweatshirts & sweaters, comfy boots, and hot cocoa!!
 
We start a two wk holiday tomorrow at our trailer in WA. I'm looking forward to slightly cooler temps. Looks like the scorching heat wave is over (fingers crossed). When we get back from there, I feel like summer is winding down and I get into "fall" mode. That means getting some garden clean up done. I do an end of summer cleanup (after neglecting it most of the summer) before doing a late fall pruning. I start making more crockpot and oven dishes after a summer of BBQ and microwave meals. I drink a lot of water over the summer but come fall I indulge more in the hot drinks....k-cup pumpkin spice, mocha and macchiata are faves. In September I start editing, organizing and storing photos that I've taken over the earlier months. I also start getting excited about the new fall tv shows (yes, I'm a tvaholic).
 
My grandchildren are growing up so Fall means school sports! I love college football too, Go Herd!
