I took my YorkiePoo to the groomer yesterday. I got to thinking she goes more often to get her hair cut than I do! :giggle
Anyone else find themselves pampering the animals more than themselves?

I have none at the moment, but I entend to have a pet if I get the chance to retire. And I will definitely pamper it!

uhm, sadly YES!

i have not gotten my hair cut/colored since spring! dogs seem to get groomed more than me for sure. i wanted to try to color my greys myself but am too chicken and am trying to grow out my hair a bit and haven't decided on a style. but i was just thinking i need to make an appmnt for at least a trim.

I used to bring my little guy, Euker, (cockapoo/sheltie cross) for a hair cut more than I got mine done. He loved the pampering the girls at the shop gave him. They always exclaimed how patient and well behaved he was. He always pranced around like he was a king around they brought him down off the table LOL.

My new little guy Taz doesn't need a haircut (yet) but he does go in for nail clipping which he doesn't mind b/c he gets a treat afterwards. It's hard to tell yet if he will will need haircuts or not. His fur is partly like a poodle but also partly like a lab retriever.

I have a fluffy little sheltie myself and he has to go every 7 - 8 weeks or he looks ratty and his toenails and the little hairs between his toes are too long. I only take him to one person, she knows that he hates the hair dryer and lets him air dry instead. I can't hold him down to brush him at home but she swears he's an angel and stands perfectly still for her. Thank goodness... because if I had to trim him at all it would never happen. The thing about the thick haired breeds, it's tough to wash them at home. I can bathe him but I can't really get all the way to his skin with all that undercoat stuff.

I do go more often than he does... but that's only to keep my dark hair DARK, if you get me :giggle

No, we have a jack russell so not too much hair maintenance. But, when I was a kid we had a sweet little mutt who was quite fluffy and one summer my mom had her shaved because of the heat. That dog came home and saw herself in the mirror and then ran and hid under my parent's bed for hours. hahaha!

we don't have furries anymore :( but when I Brazil the dogs needed little grooming, and in London we had a cat....
show us a photo of the hair cut then!!!!!!

oh you are gonna laugh! seriously roll...I will take one in the morning...hilarious
