Pad Patter: 6/21 - Candles

Those candles are our favorites too. You know they are good when you can take in a 19 yr old young man and he'll stand with you for 15 minutes smelling all the candles before making his selections. Then he grabs the Bic "clickie lighter" when we get home.
 
I'm a fan of candles because our house smells cat like when it rains. Don't even have a cat anymore. Haven't in ages. Blah.
When I buy candles, I tend to get ones with a fruit, vanilla, or hazelnut scent. Can't do florals. Ick!
 
Hubby put a strict rule against any scented candle in our house. Let's just say he says I can't be trusted with one. I just forget things.
 
I'm not big on candles. I just like my house to smell clean. Like Clorox. LOL I do have a candle that smells like clean laundry. And I DO love the way it smells. But I rarely burn it. Hahahahaha
 
I don't own any candles. My house just smells like... house, I guess. Not something I really notice one way or the other.
 
I have a stash of party lite candles that I got suckered into buying after hosting a party. I don't really like to burn them - I'm afraid of fire!
 
LOVE candles . . . burned them every day for 10 years and now I'm dealing with the black soot on the wall and ceilings . . . ugh. Just switched to scentsy warmers . . . have them in every room now.

I tend to do warm cinnamon or vanilla type scents in the kitchen and living room (I think it makes it feel homey), clean/linen type scents in the bathroom (feels cleaner!) and LOVE lavender the hallways and bedrooms (supposedly this helps sleep, but I'm doubting that).
 
I LOVE candles and would burn them every day if I could, but generally end up not using them in spring/summer for some reason. Maybe because floral candles are my least favorite? But once fall hits, my house is full of the scent of pumpkin, cinnamon, etc. from B&BW.

This thread is reminding me that B&BW is having their big semi-annual sale. I need to go pick up a few candles and anti-bacterial soaps.
 
I love scented candles .. my favourite one is vanilla ... but it makes me hungry haha!
