I reviewed a new restaurant on my blog last week, and they actually read it and made some changes based on my feedback. Neat.

That made me think... do you ever provide feedback? On Yelp? To the manager? Fill out a comment card? Anything?

I don't typically unless it's something that's a pretty big deal, but that's really awesome that they took your review to heart and made changes.

Angie, i love that you have such a strong voice for change. Seriously, whether its the school board or a restaurant...your community is lucky to have you! :)

And I totally didn't answer the question :giggle

There's a really interesting trend at the independent/local restaurants in my area. They bring an ipad to the table at the end of your meal and you're asked to review it right then. If you do, you get a coupon towards your next visit.

I usually don't review restaurants, unless I had an extreme situation whether good or bad, and even then I usually only give positive feedback. I figure there are plenty of people who pile on the negative reviews. :)

That's so cool, Angie. I'm like you Karen, I rarely give feedback unless it completely exceeded my expectations or a wait person was really great.

How cool that they actually read it and implemented changes. Gives you a real voice. Way to go!! I've never reviewed a restaurant on my blog...but I'll feel free to do it now if I feel I need to.

I've sent comment cards in before. At one restaurant, I commented that they needed to add a fruit dessert to their 3 course meal for diabetics who couldn't eat sweets. Next time we were in they had done it. I also commented that they advertise as "farm fresh" but they don't serve real butter and half & half. They haven't changed that yet but it is available if you ask for it.

I think that it is always good to give honest feedback.

Same. It has to be amazing or horrible and then not taken care of. I also tweet in those situations.

It's so cool that they took your comments into consideration and made some changes. I love when businesses listen to the people!

I don't usually, but like everyone else, I think it is awesome that you did and they read it. How very cool!

I've honestly never had an experience at a restaurant that I felt would warrant a comment card fill out, whether good or bad.

I did do reviews on Trip Advisor after the trip my sis and I took to Mexico in March. Our hotel was rad and the staff were amazing so I posted a review about that and named them. I also did a review on the excursion company we used because it was hands down the BEST.

I do, especially if they make it easy (like a survey) or offer me something (like a coupon). I was called back this week by a manager at Verizon Wireless about my survey responses. I was pleasantly surprised that he was addressing each of my concerns.

That's the part that made me laugh. All this community activism and THIS is where I manage to affect change? In the pita bites at 111 Bistro? LOL

Yep. I don't usually do it at the restaurant in person because I like to get my thoughts together. I will mention to a manager if a server or anyone did an excellent job right then and there.

Oh, that's so fun!! I rarely fill out a comment card although occasionally if it's a small non-franchise restaurant, I might.

I do if I get really good service.. or . well really bad service. I have called a few local restarants in town to complain about waitresses or service.

And I have personally called a local restarant to THANK them for their kindness to my Autistic son.. (how awesome they were while he was ordering and how they always give him extra treats when he tries so hard to order his own meal!.. they go beyond the norm)
