Do you constantly lose stuff? Or do you always know where you put it?

My husband misplaces everything.he.owns on a daily basis. So I end up having to know where all MY stuff is, along with his.

I'm pretty good at keeping track of my stuff, although I do leave my key in the car when I'm at home or else I can never find it. :giggle

Ha! This is too funny and perfect time to ask!

Last weekend....about the time DH & I were supposed to get on the Harley and ride to Memphis, I decided to get our helmets and COULD. NOT. FIND. THEM. ANYWHERE! After 40 minutes of searching and tearing the house apart, I found them. Exactly where I put them so I wouldn't forget where they were. DH laughed at me and said that this was becoming a habit of mine.

I do this all the time! I know where everyone else's stuff is, but I can never find my own. I'll set my phone down and not be able to find it for 20 minutes, because I was focused on something else and not paying attention to where I left it.

Ugh. Huge pet peeve of mine. I have to keep track of everyone's stuff plus mine at all times. DH and my stepson lose their shoes, phones, keys, random pieces of 'important' paper, and money at least twice every weekend. I would be more tolerant if they searched for the lost items before enlisting my help, but they immediately tell me something is lost if it has not suddenly appeared in their hand at the mere thought of the item.

It makes me totally stabby. :hissy

I don't lose things . . . 99% of the time. I don't know how, but I always 'know' where something is, sometimes even if I was not the last to touch it.

With that being said, about 2 weeks ago, I was laid low with a sinus infection. I have had sinus infections before, but this was . . . WOW. I can honestly say that I don't remember much of 5 days of my life - Wednesday 5/23 through the morning of Monday 5/28. We are now missing around 8 library books and one other I found missing half of 2 pages. There were other items missing & thankfully they have turned up. But w/ the books, I'm stumped.

I've developed the habit of putting my keys, phone, etc in the same place 97% of the time. But if I'm not paying attention and put my keys down, forget about me finding them for about 15-20 minutes.

As for the rest of my family, I've told my daughter (almost 16) over and over again that I'm not responsible for where she plops her stuff down. She looks for stuff herself.

And I can't tell you how often my husband and/or daughter, less often my son, will start saying, "Mom/Julie, where is the----oh, nevermind!" They'll find what they're looking for moments after calling for me. It's annoying. Annoying, I tell you! I used to start getting up out of habit, but no more. I refuse to become the family memory, when my own isn't so great. Besides, except for son who is an excellent speller like I used to be, I'm the spelling dictionary in our house. Um, what is the computer for? Can't you look that word up online? Ugh.

I'm pretty good at putting stuff where I know I can find it again but my hubby is constantly losing his stuff and then comes to ask me where he left his own things. Drives me crazy but usually I do know where he's left whatever it is because I've usually tripped over it somewhere in the house.

I rarely lose my own things, but I recently lost my calendar and have been tearing the house apart trying to find it. It had all of my Project Life stuff written in it, so I'm kinda sick about it. I've been looking for three days and CANNOT find it anywhere. It is the strangest thing.

DH loses things all of the time. Mostly tools. He doesn't ever put them away, so they are always in strange spots. I can almost always find them because if I've seen something, I can usually remember where it is... like a faux-photographic memory. But it is frustrating to have to stop everything to help him find stuff.

And where is my calendar????????

Just my mind...

lol..j/k...I lose stuff all the time. Hairbrushes are my biggie can never find when I want them.

And when I'm working on a hybrid project I can never ever find my scissors and glue, even if I just had them 2 seconds ago.
