I mean Murphy's law of course. We got hit by really bad storms last night and now our A/C is dead... guess what we are in our first HEAT WAVE of the year starting..... now. Of course we are, because we have no A/C! :hissy

Tell me your story. I seriously dislike Murphy SO MUCH!!!!:furious

yes, murphy's law is no fun!! One time, we ran out of fuel for our heater (we live in a very old house) just as a winter storm was hitting. It also happened to be our anniversary. So, I spent the evening in the truck w/ my hubby driving in the snow storm to get more fuel so we could be together. That was about 5 or 6 years ago. It's one anniversary we will never forget! LOL Hope you can get your a/c fixed asap!

This past Saturday, while at our trailer for the long wkend, the fridge wasn't working well. So my hubs drove into town with my SIL to buy a new fridge, only to discover when they got there that they couldn't get it with the truck b/c the canopy was on so the fridge could not sit upright, which would void a warranty. So, back they drove (about 40 minutes) to the ranch, took the canopy off, and then drove all the way back to buy the fridge and bring it back to the trailer. They got that done and then discovered that the hot water had stopped working. They spent about 3 hrs checking everything, to no avail. So, now this wkend we'll be having a repair guy come in to assess and let us know if it needs a new board or we have to replace the hot water tank....ugh.....what an expensive wkend this turned out to be.

Oh Yes. Every.single.time. DG is on deployment or on a TDY trip for work. My personal experience isn't so much Oodles of Things Happening All at Once, but rather Something or a Handful of Things Are Sure to Happen While My Husband is Away.

These will be the times the smoke detectors decide to beep in the middle of the night. Or the A/C will break. Or the car will need a new tire. Or a new air conditioner. Or Bugga will get crazy sick. Or wasps will decide to build nests right outside our front door. Or there will be a nearby wildfire. Or we will be rained upon with buckets and buckets of rain. Or the septic tank will need to be purged. Or the alarm system will go wonky. Or the dog will get sick (all over the house). And so on.

All of these things have actually happened whilst DG has been away. :dizzy

Oh yes. We had a string of appliances die one after the other. The washer went first. Had one on lay-a-way when the fridge went. Bought one of those, washer came home and then the AC needed a repair. I still remember writing the check for that one, ouch. Next month the dishwasher stopped washing. Got that replaced and the dryer motor quit. *cry* This happened over about an 8 month period. The only thing left that can quit on us now is the water heater or outside AC unit. Fingers crossed!
