Pad Patter: 5/10 - Birthday Cake

OMG girls...I should leave now....am so tempted to get in the car and go buy sweets, cake anything sweet will do...

Those cakes look amazing Suzanne! I am not a huge cake fan - but we were at a recent B-day party at a friends house and the cake was divine. They purchased it at a local bakery - so that is where I want my next cake from. Oh, and I would love to try one of Buddy's cakes (Cake Boss).

A friend of mine got one, she said she wasn't impressed.

When my Mom asks what kind of cake I want and yes, she still does some years, I always ask for a jello cake. It's light, but super yummy. You make a white or yellow cake mix in a 13x9 pan, then in a bowl make jello just like regular, but use the handle of a mixing spoon to poke holes in the cake and then pour the liquid jello over the top of the cake. It make the cake all marbled with jello inside and then you top it with cool whip. So yummy. I prefer black cherry jello too. Can you tell I'm a summer baby?

We also really like DQ ice cream cakes around here too. :)

Angel food cake is my FAVE...with powdered sugar frosting and candy sprinkles.....YUM!!!

I love an ice cream cake but only if it is a REAL ice cream cake, not some silly all ice cream thing. I want cake AND ice cream, layered. So good.

I also love white/yellow cake with chocolate icing. Bakery frosting can be weird for me too, if it's chocolate I'm good to go but usually the white frosting is too much for me.
