Pad Patter: 5/1 - Coffee

We drink both coffee and tea here and always at home. DH has even dabbled a bit with home roasting coffee...but he had to roast basically one pot at a time so it ended up being too time consuming for him until we can get him set up with a more productive roasting method.

DH also cold brews coffee for grasshoppers (coffee, milk, creme de menthe syrup and white chocolate syrup) so yummy...I normally hate iced coffees but this is the one exception.

Okay... I think I might have to hear a little bit more about this "grasshopper" iced coffee thing. THAT sounds right up my alley!

Christine I live in Asia and the whole bubble tea thing is big here. I found a chain called Gong Cha and they do iced earl grey with this special foam on top which is really creamy and almost tastes like cheesecake. The idea is you can mix the tea and foam together for a milky tea or drink the refreshing cold tea from the bottom then you get the yummy foam at the end (thats what I do). The first time I had it I dreamt about it that night and had to go back the next day to make sure it really was that good!
I do love a good chai, but I don't like Starbucks.

That sounds awesome, Amanda! I live in Southern California and sometimes it's almost like living in Asia, LOL. We do have a lot of tea places that have boba teas, but I've never had one with delicious foam before!
