Wishing everyone a very happy, blessed Easter!

Let's share what we all have planned today to celebrate this beautiful day!

I've got 8 grandbabies coming over later and we are going with a non-traditional dinner with a cookout of burgers and hot dogs, an egg hunt, and just spending a wonderful afternoon with the family!

We're going to my in-laws. It's going to be a beautiful day here, and I'm excited for the Easter egg hunt. Plus, this is the first "event" since I got my new dSLR, so I'm excited to really use it.

We are going to enjoy the day at home. :) We've got friends and family coming for Easter dinner later on. The kids are eating chocolate, tidying up in the kitchen and then they're going to dye their eggs (we're late on that one lol)

We're late on the dying of eggs too...we went to a friends house last night and didn't get home until 11:00. I sent DD to bed, boiled eggs, and we'll dye them at some point today. We're pretty much just hanging out at home today, we had Easter baskets this morning (one for DD and one that DH and I share) and I always do an Easter egg hunt for DD and DH if we can't be at my parents house (otherwise they do the hunt with all the grandkids). At some point we have to go get groceries so we can eat tonight as well.

Happy Easter! We are not going to my family's big celebration, so I'm a little sad today. But my sister and her BF and the dog are coming over and we're going to grill and have a nice lunch. I have to finish up my dessert!

We colored eggs yesterday. This morning we went to my husband's chapel service. He's an Army chaplain and does an AIT service. This afternoon we'll do a small egg hunt and then have our Easter dinner tonight. I've been cooking all morning!

We already had our easter egg hunt this morning with the kids, and they sorted through all the eggs they dyed the other day (we did kool aid, and they turned out awesome!). Now they are relaxing, and we will leave for my in-laws in about an hour. :)

We're coloring eggs later and doing an egg hunt for Kennedy after DD gets home. Right now, Kennedy is running around outside in the sun with Grumpa. We're just having a quiet day. It is nice.

Happy Easter to everyone!!!!

Happy Easter everyone!

DH and I just finished a lovely Easter lunch, now we're about to watch a movie. :)

We spent today with David's family at my SIL house. We had lunch and an Easter egg hunt there and the kids got to play. This morning we had an Easter egg hunt here, got her basket from the Bunny and present from us and I took Kenzie to the park and took some quick spring pics since she was already in her dress...Too bad I went to be at midnight and got up early. Now I am beat!

Happy Resurrection Day, everyone!

We wrapped up a week long visit at my parents' house today. I took DD to church this morning, and when we got back, my mom had hidden the eggs we dyed yesterday for DD to find. Everyone else came over for dinner, and my sister brought DD a bag of Max and Ruby goodies and hid MORE eggs filled with Skittles. :giggle After dinner and dessert (homemade cheesecake --- yum!), we packed up and headed home.

I'd love to relax the rest of the night, but I imagine the natives will want to be fed at some point, so I need to figure out groceries for the week that don't involve the oven and stove (it's busted) and then go get them before I get even more tired than I already am.

Happy Easter! :beat

We have been enjoying a nice family full, relaxing day. At the moment we are watching the last moments of The Masters tournament. And some yummy short ribs are finishing up in the oven and about to go on the grill. Good times.

Happy Easter!
I mapped out my route to my job for in the morning, in pure terror, b/c it was raining hard and the interstates here are very confusing to me. We also visited Walmart. That's about it. I tried talking my husband into going to church but he's not much of a church goer so he refused. :(

Happy Easter everyone! I had to sing for all three service at church this morning with the choir. The first one was at 6:30 a.m.! Ouch! Then last one finished at noon and then we went to my in-laws for lunch. We got home at about 4:30 and I totally passed out on the couch for almost two hours! :) Ah... loved that nap! I'll probably be up late tonight though!

Happy Easter everyone!

It's been a wonderful and very busy weekend here. We hosted an egg hunt yesterday morning and managed to squeeze it in before the rain started. The kids had a great time. :)

This morning we had church...my pastor preached a really powerful sermon asking "what is your defining story"...and wow, it got me.
I spent the rest of the day cooking a big Easter dinner - ham, Paula Deen's sweet potato bake, fruit salad, spinach salad, carrot muffins, pumpkin pie and key lime pie. We had one of my dearest friends and her family over to share our meal. Really fun and relaxing. Thankfully, DH did the dishes after all that cooking. Now, I have a full tummy, the house is quiet and I am going to get my scrap on shortly. :)
