Pad Patter 4.27.15: iNSD Prep

iNSD is coming. SOON! The festivities will begin before we know it . Here's what I want to know... how organized are you in preparation for this event? I know there are a few of you who have it down to a science! I love this.

Anyway, some of us just fly by the seat of our pants and join in the fun when the mood strikes us . And some of us flounder around, flapping our arms at the computer wondering what to do next, always ending up 5 minutes too late . (this last one is usually me... but not this year thanks to Molly, )

Some of us even choose to ignore it to avoid the stress . This does not compute in my mind, but hey, different strokes. Still others miss it because real life gets in the way and are constantly thinking about what we are missing . (Actually, this is often me... why did I have a child on May 2nd... why? )

How do you handle the week leading up to the biggest weekend in scrapping? Let me know!

I think I'm a mix of everything....

I don't usually like to prep, lol! These events are so big, and can be overwhelming. I pick a couple things and try to work them in. I don't hide per se... but I lurk more, unless I have a challenge or am helping out in any way.

I will usually scrap, go to a chat, and do a couple of challenges. They may not make the deadlines, but I've scrapped.

I also like to peruse the sales... put it all in my cart, and then slowly whittle it down to a more manageable number. LOL!

Then... life. Always gets in the way... and the Month/Day. May is hard - only because I feel like I have to get out and about on nice days with my boys. This year, I'll be around a bit in the morning, and I have parts of Friday night free. My mom decided to hold a Kentucky Derby party... and I get to cook. LOL! Stuffed WonTons, Roseapple Bites, and Rose Cupcakes (in the shape of a horseshoe, lol!) She even bought me a hat I'm supposed to wear! LOL! Oh boy... it pry has feathers, bows, the netting, and who knows what else. It should be funny for pictures.

This is my first iNSD so I really am not sure what to expect. I've been aware of it before but never participated. I'm using it as a reward for finishing the last paper for school this term so this week will be busy. And house is not clean, I'm not organized (altho I may use Molly's sheet (THANK YOU!)

I don't know that I am very organized..... and this year, we have one of our busiest weekends we have had so far this year. I am hoping that in between the school play, final soccer games, and the husband being home on a weekend, I will be able to pop in and at least see all the pretty stuff in the gallery!!

I tend to just stay here at the Pad all weekend, and then FB for the parade and the occasional other fun stuff, and just enjoy it! More places than that and it starts to feel frantic and that's just no fun for me.

I spent the past week cleaning like a crazy woman for company we had yesterday (as in, I made hubby pressure wash the windows outside and I painted inside and made all new dining room/kitchen curtains lol), so the house should be good for me to have some creative time - yay!

Now to plan meals for the weekend and "hide" in my corner of the living room!

I used to always count getting organized for NSD as pre-loading my cart for what I wanted when the sale started. Everything else I just checked forums and played games and did chats as I had time. Last year I even spent the WHOLE day scrapping on top of all the games and chats and fun. It was so awesome that I'm doing it again this year.

I have actually never really got into iNSD. There are usually to many real life things happening for me to be very active. This will be my hang out spot when I have free time and I will probably not buy one single thing. I don't shop outside the lilypad very much any way.
