I thought I went to IKEA often, but a friend of mine goes almost once a week! (Until 3 months ago she had never been to one, so I am sure the novelty will wear off soon).
So my question is: do you go to IKEA? Roughly how often have you been in the last year?

I have been probably 6 or 7 times over the last year. But we have just moved to a new country and the furniture we have been given is old and pretty gross, so I have an excuse. :giggle

We probably average going about once a month. Other than our beds we have no big furniture from IKEA, but we have lots of little things, like storage boxes, the small VIKA tables, kitchen utensils, curtains, vases. Our trips rarely cost us over $100 and many are under $25.

Our closest IKEA is 4 hours away and if it were any closer, I'm sure I would be there weekly. :) I usually go about 1-2 times a year...wish it were more!

Probably once every 2 months or so. They have cheap food...and sometimes you just need one of those cinnamon buns...lol
We don't buy something from IKEA every time, but if we do it is usually little things.

A co-worker took me to one once up in Canada (Montreal maybe?) ages ago when I was on contract up there, but at the time there weren't any around here. One opened about 35 minutes from us a few years ago. We get their catalogs, and I love looking through them, but I don't think I've ever actually been to the one here.

Ours is about an hour away so I've only been to it a couple times. If I'm in that area though, I will definitely go just to look (and eat).

The first time I went to Ikea (in KL, btw) we spent 4 hours and had to buy an extra suitcase to bring everything home in. But that was 8 years ago, and we still use 75% of the things we bought on that trip! I go whenever we're in KL, but sadly we're not there nearly enough. It is a dream of mine to live within driving distance of Ikea.

I know I went twice in 2011 to pick out, then pick up the desks for my daughter's new apartment. She also got some dishes and other misc on those trips.

I don't think I've been at all this year.

No Ikea here either. Closest one is 5 1/2 hours away and that's probably a good thing for me! LOL

I pass an IKEA every day on my way to work - but I rarely go to one. I might need to stop by soon if I end up moving! :)

We're seriously hoping to move back to Arkansas at some point...but honestly the lack of IKEA and Trader Joe's totally frightens me. I wish they would build an IKEA in Memphis or Little Rock (or heck even St. Louis since we have reason to visit there a couple of times a year).

Our IKEA is about 10 minutes away. :D I go maybe once every 3 months or so, and it's usually for newborn blankets for my photography. They have the best blankets!

I've gotta say though, I took my kids there over Spring Break (again, for blankets) and they LOVED it! Grace thought she was playing house as we walked through the maze-like showroom. I would definitely go back again, if just to let them walk around and have fun for a half hour. :giggle

I live close to Ikea, too, it's about a 15 minute drive. I go once every few months as well. There is this adorable little vintage blue metal kitchen cart that I want to pick up to store my PL stuff in...I want to see it in person first but it looks so cute. Here's a photo:

Carolee they have it out at the Bolingbrook store...it's so cute and perfect for PL stuffs. I seriously wanted to buy one when we were there over the weekend but we had other more important things to spend our $$$ on...hoping we'll be able to go grab it next month. My IKEA wishlist is ridiculous and they keep adding cute new stuff. It's crazy.

Ok that's adorable! I could buy a bunch, line them up and store some of my smaller photography props.... Thanks for spending my money. :lol

Ours is about an hour away, so we only make it 2-3 times year. We have a TON of stuff from Ikea in our home!
Now if only we could get a Trader Joe's here...
