Am I on some sort of home decor kick lately? :giggle

What covers your windows? Blinds? Curtains? Bed sheets?

We have curtains throughout the downstairs (love the black and white damask ones in my living room!) and then mini blinds in all the bedrooms. I snapped one day because my upstairs windows looked all chaotic when I was coming down the street and bought blinds for all of them. A couple of the bedrooms also have decorative curtains.

Not sure what I'm doing with the boys windows now, since obviously once I paint, their curtains won't match.

Inspire me.

wooden shutters in the living room...1" wooden blinds throughout the rest of the house. Some are broken and I need them for two windows. I'm really bad with things like this...

We have wooden blinds plus curtains on our windows.

So glad I'm not the only one thinking of revamping our decor.

Just ugly Walmart blinds at our house. Since we can't paint and we'll be moving when the lease is up, I didn't bother buying anything good or new. The last apartment only had 2 windows in the whole place and they were both in the kids' rooms so we didn't have any already to reuse.

Oh, and there's this weird-sized superskinny window on the landing that DH taped a piece of bubble wrap to for 'blinds' as we could not find any real blind to fit it. Talk abt sophistication and class. :giggle

We are in an apartment the previous tenant had blinds up and since she was moving in with her fiance left all of the window treatments in place. Most of them are falling off the wall. We finally gave in and bought curtains for the office this past weekend since that seemed most likely to come out of the wall first. We have fabric and hardware for curtains for DD's room and then we'll tackle the living room next. Hoping to replace all of them in the next few months though. I really prefer curtains over blinds and we can take them with us next time we move.

I am SO bad about window treatments. Thankfully the bedrooms all had mini blinds already in them when we moved in. My Living Room has two giant picture windows so you can see through a ton of our house from the street through those windows. We host Thanksgivign every year and my husband's Grandma would ask about the lack of curtains every time she'd come. She passed away 4 years ago and we finally broke down and bought curtain panels (for decoration) and then sheer panels that cover the whole window for privacy. I really like those because they still let light in and we can see out, but you can't really see in clearly.

There are lots of windows in our house like on both sides of our kitchen that still dont' have anything on them. I have no fancy curtains anywhere except in my on son's bedroom that I just re-did. I'm too cheap to buy 'em!

I took the curtains out of my kitchen windows. I like the light. lol

No inspiration coming from here. We have huge windows all over the house that I really don't know what to do with. Most of them have 2-inch wood blinds for privacy and light control, but they really could use some fabric of some sort to soften them up.

We do have homemade decorative curtains and/or valances in the bedrooms. The kids' got made when their rooms were initially decorated, to match the bedding my mom and I made. The ones in the master bedroom I actually made to match our previous bedding, which is long since gone. They don't match the current set at all. :p

The guest room has a bedsheet. It didn't get blinds when the rest did because it is a weird slightly arched split shape that there was no way to fit without it looking totally dorky (because the sheet looks ever so much cooler :giggle). We also have half-circle windows at the tops of the windows in the family room and "dining room" (which we use as dh's office), and I don't know what to do with those either.

I've had the hardest time finding curtains that I like. There just really aren't a lot of stores around here that have a big selection. I am looking for something in MAGENTA though, so that may be part of the problem :giggle But seriously, I have the hardest time finding something I like.

Our kitchen has nothing. We ended up with an electric shade outside for that because in the late afternoon things can be blinding. The rest of the house pretty much has white sheers. LAME.

We have those wide wooden white blinds (say that 5 times fast :giggle) through out all of our windows in our house. No curtains or anything yet. I'm thinking one day I'll make some. :giggle
