Easter Sunday ended up with us having unexpected plans so we haven't done the Easter egg hunt yet and I still have the goodies for that hidden away. DH searches for eggs with DD so she has someone to hunt with and I fill the little plastic eggs with goodies and prize slips. Hoping we can do it tomorrow morning since DH is off work and we have a homeschool group meeting tomorrow afternoon. Otherwise it'll be sometime this weekend.
The Easter baskets are pretty much wiped though. I think DD has some Peeps left and there is one roll of Smarties and a few pixie sticks left in ours. This has not been a great week for my waist line I'm sure.
We let the kids have free reign to eat what they like on Easter day (within reason, and DD still always ends up with a bit of a tummy-ache in spite of our warnings). But then the sweets go back on rationing, so the kids have quite a lot left. The little bit of chocolate that was left for DH and I is long gone though.
DD didn't get any candy for Easter, so while there isn't any chocolate here from her basket... my mom snuck me a bag of my favorite Easter candy that I have been hiding and hoarding since then!
We have plenty left, and I need to stop eating it.
I'm pretty restrictive with the kids, too. They only get one little piece every other day, unless they choose another dessert. We always end up throwing out the candy because they can never eat it all.
We didn't have any chocolate this year for Easter unless you count the protein bars I had at church since it was a super long morning with me singing... the big kids had jelly beans that I let them eat all of after lunch... I do have some cookie dough in the freezer that is leftover from making for our neighbor who had a house fire and I'm seriously tempted to bake them up right now to snack on during ballet LOL
Chocolate is always in the house... haha... but not from Easter, though - kiddo didn't get much in candy this year... oh, but I did buy some M&M's for 50% off at target today... does that count?
There are parts of an Easter bunny, some M&Ms and half of the peanut butter/nutella bars I made. The Cadbury eggs and jelly beans are long gone. No kids here, so I just have to fight mom for the candy.
Ugh... too much left! I'm the same as Trish. My boys can only have two pieces after dinner and only if they eat good. It's been staring me in the face, but so far I haven't gotten into their stash. Trying to be good and lose the last few pounds before our vacation in three weeks!
I've got one last regular size bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs... and several tiny (one serving) bags left. But the stash is going down, and
it needs too, I've eaten ::way:: too many of them!
Yep, lots left cause I'm the candy nazi. They only get 1-2 pieces after supper. And surprisingly enough, I haven't dipped into it yet myself. I also deliberately stayed away from the after-Easter sales so that I wouldnt buy any Cadbury eggs.
