We are on Spring Break this week, and it has been a great time. Today, we are taking a road trip to the nearest town and going to the Farm& Ranch Museum. The kids learn how and see a cow be milked. I brought my older kids when they were younger. Today, they join me with their little brothers!
What I cannot get over is the amount of people, that have never been. It is cheap to go, and so much fun. There are things for kids to play on and with too!
We have the International Space Hall right here in my town, and I talked to people all the time, that have never been. It is huge and sits like a gold cube on our mountain, so you can't miss it!
Is there something close by to your home you have never gone?
Just wondering?
and
kinda challenging...
go
go
go
and
see

Well... here in Narnia, we've been to about every interesting point out of sheer desperation... but I have lived in Berlin for 13 years without visiting the tv tower on Alexanderplatz even once XP...

I don't know. I can't state any that I've missed, but then again, I'm probably missing something I'm not aware of existing ;)

and I am just all a flitter that you live in Narnia!! as a Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe fan! tee hee

I have lived all over the country, and everywhere I've lived there are always places that I regret not going to. But, because we've lived all over we've been to so many fabulous places too. I always love discovering new fun activities, and am always on the lookout for fun inexpensive things we can do as a family. A lot of the places I didn't visit were because they were just too cost prohibitive. I'm still sad we never made it to The Field Museum in Chicago..but every time I thought about going I'd look up prices and then consider parking and realize that there were other fun and much cheaper things to do.

I've lived in the Indy metro area for the last 10 1/2 of the past 12 years and I have not been to the football stadium, the state museum, or the baseball stadium.

What's worse is that my dad has worked in the Notre Dame athletics department for the last 25+ years, and I've never been inside THAT football stadium.

#lame #noexcuse

Oooh it's fun to "play tourist" in your hometown! I have much more fun doing it when I go "home" to Chicago, but there are always some local gems wherever we live and I love checking them out!

There is a little historic village nearby that I've never been to. It's on the list. Bugga went to the Marine Science Station on a field trip last week and LOVED it. I have never been..so I'd love to go back to that with her.

We have lived in Cleveland for 10 years, and I've only been downtown 3-4 times (not counting running the marathon, during which I'm apparently not supposed to stop and visit places), so I'm sure there are tons of places I've not been down there. I've been to the History and Art museums but not the science center and who knows what all else.

There are roughly 5 interesting places to visit in our whole state. I've been to all of 'em. ;)

But you do have Badlands NP which is absolutely phenomenal. I wish I could take my hubby and dd to SD so they can see it.

Wall Drug is in SD, also right? I have memories of going there when I was a teen on a Girl Scout trip. Funny thing is other than the billboards all I remember are jackalope postcards all over the place.

Yep, and I've been to both many times. They'are on the list of 5 interesting places. ;) In fact, my parents and I just took my daughter to Wall Drug on Monday, on our way back home from a funeral.

Well the one thing that I have never done in our little town is the "Chief Commanda". It's a little boat tour that goes around our huge Lake Ni****ing. I had to opportunity last year since my son wen to a birthday party on it but decided not too since it was just after my half-marathon and the idea of being on a boat for 2 hours wasn't too appealing. Maybe this summer. ;)

We have some great white water rafting close to our house, but as much as I've always wanted to, I've never been. No one every seems to want to go with me :( There's also a nice ski resort right up the road, but never been there, either.

The only thing I can think of here is the Johnstown, PA Flood museum. But then, I haven't even lived here for a year yet, and... Um, I'm just not that into floods. Lol

We have a lot of National Institutions here, the kids head off to them all the time for excursions so we don't go that often as a family. The National Art Gallery has heaps of international exhibitions coming through and I mostly forget to go, drives my SIL wild because she often travels here to see them.
Do feel bad that Sydney is only a couple of hours drive away and we only get there every couple of years - just laziness I suspect. (although I have promised to take my daughter to see the Lion King soon, so I guess that counts)

I always try to find new things to visit here in NJ or New York, especially when I'm on staycation! There are always lots of places on my list. There's a new Dinosaur Park a few towns over and I want to take my nephew there. There's a sculpture garden in Hamilton, NJ that I want to visit this summer. I might go to the Central Park Zoo next week for the first time! And I also have Teddy Roosevelt's home out on Long Island on my list. I feel so lucky to live here!

well just off the coast of Brisbane is Stradbroke Island, its a short ferry ride over and there are resorts, beaches, dolphins to feed and lots of fun to be had ..... and.I.have.never.been!!
