I sliced the dickens out of my thumb two weeks ago. I cried like a baby:tantrum and so glad my hubby was here. He put two butterfly stitches on, as I weeped.
But I have fought the good fight, it is healing up great, but the battle with bandaids has been crazy.
I have found that fabric bandaids seem to stay on the best?
I had to have latex free for years due to oldest being allergic, but he has moved out! Those things would never stay on,
Do you battle the band aide?

the fabric bandaids always stayed on best for me, but I am allergic to them so I have to suffer through the crummy bandaids now.

I am the opposite. The fabric ones seem to fall right off me but the others, well that depends on the brand, really. Some stay on and some don't.

I just nicked my thumb - right at the top of a knuckle and it bled like crazy. I tried one of those fabric bandaids and it felt so irritating - it could have just been the spot where it was. I've got a scab on there now - and i'm just risking the elements. I can't type and work with that bandage on.

I love the waterproof ones. They stick really well for me!

I prefer the plasticy ones they seem more hygienic to me but I guess that's an illusion ;) I don't wear them long anyway. Long enough to stop the bleeding and then none at all.

I'm allergic to plastic band-aides so I normally use fabric ones ... they seem to stay on ok and I use a lot of tehm because I am so damn clumsy :)

Ya know plasters in this house are rarely used and you can guarantee if we need one we can't find any

I prefer the fabric ones as well but I have to change them about every 12 hours and usually let the cut "air out" for a bit before putting on a new one and I always have Neosporin (or the generic version of it) on hand and use that too. I just can't stand wearing a bandaid for too long cuz they get so dirty and gross looking.
