Any other Superhero Nerds out there?

I don't watch much TV... like I only watch Disney channel with my young kids or ESPN with the husband (blah to both, LOL), but my 13 year old son and I watch TV on many nights. We usually watch Doctor Who but there are just so many times you can watch the same episodes.

Anyway, recently we started watching Arrow at my 16 year old son's suggestion. And I'm sort of hooked. It's violent and dreadfully unrealistic, but hey... it's a superhero show, right? Plus, the actor has at least one "work out without a shirt" scene in each episode. Bonus. :giggle

I watch all of the Marvel movies... Iron Man, Captain America, Avengers. Although Batman is a bit too dark for me. Anyway, I'm a SuperHero geek... I guess b/c they are SO FAR from reality. :yesss

Anyone else? Do you watch Arrow? (NO.SPOILERS... we are still on Season One on Netflix) Any other good Hero type shows? Movies?
 
I love Arrow, and yes, the shirtless workouts are... not a downside. :giggle Agent Carter is also great, and Agents of SHIELD. Not so many shirtless workouts but what they lack in CW love triangles, the make up for in other ways. :)
 
I've thought about starting Agents of Shield. I *heart* Netflix... don't have to miss anything, even if I am always at least a year behind, hehe.
 
I love watching the superhero movies. We've seen all the Marvel ones, and I agree with you that Batman is pretty dark. I like to be able to watch them with my kids (9 and 12) so Batman hasn't been a choice right now.

My favourite superheroes tv show was Heroes.
 
I am not a big superhero fan, but hubby is so we've watched what's available. I enjoyed "Arrow" and just finished "Beauty and the Beast" (not sure if that counts). I have a cousin's daughter whose family is obsessed with superheros -- just found out her 2 yr old girl's big girl room is Batman, Gotham Girls, and pink and black -- what does one make for that combo?

Love that. My daughter has been a superhero 2 years in a row now... batgirl and supergirl. Love it!

Haven't heard of Beauty and the Beast... well, I think there was a show like that back in the 80s? With Linda Hamilton? But I'm assuming that's not what you mean. If it's on Netflix, I'll have to check it out :)

This is the one that was on CW and stars the girl (lady?) that was in Smallville. It's pretty good. Not sure of the age of your kids, but there is some violence and killing (by ripping hearts out -- that's what I'm trying to say, although not real graphic). Yes it's on Netflix. I'll check around tomorrow and see what else we've watched.
 
We love Marvel in this house - mmm Thor. But Tv wise we have just started watching The Flash, not too bad, will have to see if we can find the back episodes of the Arrow as they had a couple of cross over episodes.nd you can't complain about shirtless workout sessions...

Old episodes of Batman are still the best though ;)

We are superhero fans at my house too. My husband is an avid comic book collector so all of the superhero movies and tv shows are fun for him. Although I suffer from hearing him complain of how they have totally changed someone's backstory! :)

We watch Arrow and really like--it gets even better, Jen! We are way behind on The Flash, but are watching that as well. We haven't watched Agents of Shield yet, but plan to.
 
Superheroes??? Yes!!! I saw my father reading the marvell strips as a kid, started to read them too (in French) and looove everything related to it!
X-men movies, agents of SHIELD, we watched the series Heroes like crazy!!!

Oh, and that movie of Bruce Willis with Samuel Jackson,hmmm, that was good... I need to look the title up, wait...
UNBREAKABLE!
 
Last superhero I saw was a Spiderman movie from Netflix. I'm more of a romantic comedy girl...
 
Thor. Yep. Pretty much anything Marvel/Avengers is good with me! Love Agents of SHIELD, and very happy that at least one marvel movie has been on every few days for a while now.
 
OMG OMG to Arrow!!!!!!! yesssss he is SOOOOOOOO gorgeous!!!!!!!! I dont watch it but we are watching The Flash- We were at my mum's in Argentina when we watched the first episode, the Flash is one of the boys from the Warblers on Glee...and in the flash there are crossovers with Arrow- with Felicity being in various episodes and him (arrow) also) I may go back in time to watch, if you like it, am gonna love it too....

as super heroes goes.....
MrsPeel is the super hero I wanted to be since I was 10 ...... funny she is British, British series (The Avengers) and I never thought ever that I would end up living in Britain, I didnt even like England until I was in my 30s....
I also played with my friends in primary and ALWAYS was the Cat Woman..... LOL (it has to be Julie Newmar of the original Batman TV series in the 60s)
LOVE Iron Man, Thor isnt to put aside either, but Downey Jr is more to my age ;)

we watch Gotham...which is dark, but absolutely amazing....
Sarita said is impossible to like ANY or the characters....but you love the series never the less....

I'm disappointed with Dr Who's and Capaldi , I have to say, not him, per se, but the writing of the episodes is just....not calling me :(
