I do believe I am the rubbermaid container queen!

I wash all the summer clothes and put them in nifty containers in the late fall.
This morning is short wearing time!
I pulled out the summer boxes.
Fun to see the boys move into the next sizes (one jumped two sizes).
Bony knees are out in fashion!
Do any of you store clothes in off seasons?

We have just one boy and one girl, so at the end of the season (plus a month or so, since it has been both 80 and 30 degrees this week) we donate all of the end of season, almost-outgrown clothes. I have a few friends and relatives that we swap around clothes, and those are kept in Rubbermaid totes (mostly for the boy) until it is time to wear them! (ours rotate much more based on size than season - both of the kids have larger closets than I do)

Our kids are still growing, so it's not so much swapping out seasonally as swapping out when they outgrow.. :giggle: I did just break out the size 3s for our newly 2yo and I'm super excited to see all these fun clothes again! It's like going shopping all over again! (Am I the only one who finds it incredibly enjoyable to buy clothes for my kids??)

*side note - I also like that as the 2yo outgrows things, we can donate or trash to make room for the clothes the 6yo has outgrown that we now have to save for four.whole.years.*

We pretty much keep everything out....hubby will pack away his shorts but that is about it. We have a huge walk in closets and have the space to keep it all out, the boys have decent size walk in closets too.

The girls are outgrowing things quickly enough I pass the out-of-season stuff to a friend who has girls just younger than both of mine. (In the case of the older girls' stuff, it comes back to me for #2 and then back to her again. So handy! lol) My own clothes do get put away in the off-season. DH wears jeans and T-shirts all year so nothing fancy going on for him!

Well, in theory I put my summer clothes in the attic and then get them out in spring/summer and then put my winter clothes away. BUT this year -- ACK! Since my room is still in disaray and that's putting it nicely - My summer clothes are in bins in my room. Well, I guess it's good for me, now all I have to do is empty the summer one and substitute my winter sweaters and long sleeve tshirts into that. LOL

Our stuff stays out pretty much all the time, too. I wear tank tops and shorts around the house all year long and the kids and DH wear t-shirts and shorts all the time. Usually just the swim suits get pushed to the back of the drawer.

I'm a big clothes storing person too. I have two boys two years apart, so if things from the older boy aren't completely ruined by the time he's done with them, they all get saved for the younger one. We also have a couple friends with boys that are just slightly older than ours so we get lots of hand me downs from them and I eagerly accept them all! :)
