Pad Patter: 3/23: Breakfast

I am slack and even though I know I should eat breakfast, I usually don't. If I do it is rocket (arugala) and proscuito or mushroom omelette. My kids usually have toast with vegimite, kaya or cheese spread. but I don't think any of those things are available in the US. And sometimes I make pancakes.

I am HORRIBLE at eating breakfast unless it's the weekend...but I always make sure the kids do lol. I am trying to get better though and went shopping for a bunch of goodies today to try out some of the recipes that I have been pinning :)

I usually have eggs of some kind. Lately I've been having grapefruit with a light sprinkling of sugar. I love grapefruit so much but I was taking a medicine that you can't eat grapefruit while on. I was on that med for 15 years so no grapefruit! My dr. stopped the medicine since I'm trying to get pregnant and it isn't safe for pregnancy. I've been so excited I'm eating all the grapefruit I can!!!

cereal, oatmeal, or bagels and cream cheese with fruit are our standby's. I'll do eggs and toast sometimes for just DD and me as well. Sometimes if DH isn't working I'll do a bigger breakfast with all the goodies he loves but not often. DD is upset we don't ever (well hardly ever more like twice a year) have donuts.

Now that I work dayside, I am hungry in the morning! :) I usually have some Special K cereal with fruit, but sometimes I'll have waffles or an egg. Coffee is a must, too!

I have to eat breakfast of I'd literally faint! LOL! I usually eat egg beaters and sometimes an english muffin or oatmeal and usually a piece of fruit or yogurt too.

Breakfast is the worst meal at our house. I never feel like I have time, DD picks and nibbles but doesn't eat much until lunchtime, and SS would prefer to skip it altogether. DH is the only one who insists on eating breakfast every morning even if it makes him/us late for other activities. He can't have most cereals/pancakes/muffins and doesn't want to cook, so it's oatmeal every day for him.

If its the weekend, my boys love orange rolls (just the pilsbury pop & serve kind).

If its during the week, my boys love Ego waffles or cereal and I usually always have an oatmeal cup.

I have to eat breakfast if I want to be able to function and concentrate. I wish I could skip it, but it's not in the cards for me
to skip any meals with having low blood sugar.

I don't usually eat brekkie.. kid and i aren't big fans of brekkie.. bleh.

BUT when the bf is here i pretend i'm all domestic, so i made everyone eggs and sausage this morning. I usually make toast too but i apparently forgot :p

I love breakfast... melted cheese toast... this morning it was a 100 calorie english muffin with laughing cow, spinach and some roast turkey... I usually have fruit and a low calorie cracker as a mid morning snack.... YUM!

Well, I've turned into my mother and make my kids have oatmeal. :) actually, I've recently learned to love it, and we have it once or twice a week, fruit smoothies or cereal are pretty big in our house. And on Saturdays Brian usually cooks pancakes, waffles, or omelets.
