How many books do you read at a time? Are you a one book person or lots?

Right now I have like 6 books going on haha! I try to stick to just one at a time, but for some reason I started tons recently!

I usually have one main book at a time, but then at work I'll listen to a book on CD too. if I start a book and don't finish it, that usually means I'm not that thrilled with it and I'm probably not going to finish it.

ooh one at a time for sure. Gotta give each book some love and respect! :giggle

When I read, which is very seldom the last few years (although I'm slowly getting back into it) it's 1 book at a time. When I was young I could read 2 or 3... :)

I usually have one book upstairs on my nightstand, a book I take to work and a book I listen to for the drive. So right now, I'm reading four books because I've hid my Nook mid-book. I bought too many Nook books in the last two months so I've gone back to the paper kind LOL!

One book at a time for me. I'm one of those that feels the need to finish one before starting another. (I'm a weirdo... LOL!)

I'm a one-book-reader. I've got too many other things going on in my brain to be able to keep track of what's happening with the story of another book. I've got a book on my end table in the living room but lately haven't been able to concentrate on the story of it.

99% of the time - one book at a time, unless I'm 20%+ into a book and not loving it (I have one now), I don't want to abandon it, but I can't seem to force myself to be excited about it either...so I'll pick up a new book. I'm thinking if I've read 6 or 7 new books all while leaving this one book by the wayside maybe it's time to walk away from the non-interesting book...lol

My usual is 3. A Kindle book, a "real" paper book (LOL), and an audio book. I used to only be able to read one at a time, but I started listening to audio books while I worked, and realized I COULD keep everything straight! I don't know if I could do 6, though.

Two - one Kindle / paper book, one audio book for dog walks / working. I don't think I could handle 6, it would take me too long to decide which one to pick up every night!

I am usually a one book at a time, but I right now I have a book on dh's iPad and one paper book that I am working on.

When I'm reading (which unfortunately I'm still not reading much right now) I often have three or four books on the go. Not sure why but I've been like this since childhood.

i have a hard time staying focused. i can only read one book at a time.
i just started reading the gregor books.
the first one is gregor the overlander.
they're by suzanne collins, and i hear they are an excellent read.
similar to the hunger games series, but for a much younger audience.

I read quickly enough that it's usually just one at a time. I can finish an average fiction book in a couple hours, so there's no time to read more than one! If it's a nonfiction book, I can go back and forth between several.

Unless it is a can't-put-it-down-because-it-is-so-good kind of book, I will have 3 or 4 (non-textbooks). I think, from being in school for so long and having to read so many at one time, I'm now used to it. Also, I have books on a waiting list (for my Kindle) through the library. You never know when you are going to end up getting one that is on your list, and you have to claim it within 72 hours, so I have to juggle if I want to read library books.

I try to be a one book girl. My brain is scattered enough with all the balls I have in the air that I totally couldn't do more than one at a time. Unless one is like a study kind of thing and another is like a fun fiction kind of thing, if that makes sense.

oh my i struggle to read one never mind more, and all im doing lately is flitting between books just cant concentrate

I am a monogamous reader... I can love only one book at a time...
