If you celebrate Easter, I wish you a very joyful time. If not, I hope you have a blessed Sunday.

Are you doing anything special today? I'd love pics :)

We do very small baskets (actually buckets) that come from mom/dad and include just a small amount of candy and this year a family movie in each. That is 8 hours of family entertainment, hehe.

Church is our main focus of the day, but afterward we get together with the extended family for lunch and an egg hunt (presuming it is not raining).

Then the rest of the afternoon is rest and movies and clean up for mom, LOL.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to everyone in the Pad!!
We do a big easter egg hunt and an easter dinner here. Luckily, this year, the snow has melted so we can do the hunt outside!

Heathergw and our family are having brunch together here in our house and then some family pics!

We went to the 8am service at church this morning, came home and chilled out for a little bit after taking a few pictures, then went out for lunch and ice cream. Now we've got to hide eggs for our boys. We don't have any family up here, so we're pretty much on our own all day... which is kind of nice, actually... makes for a semi-quiet/peaceful day.

Happy Easter!

How does that work for you? I am not into the Easter bunny, and neither is dh. So we bought some fun spring toys (bubbles, jump rope, etc.) and a small amount of candy. We haven't given it to him yet (lol, it's already 11am).

In other plans, we live too close to family. So, we are starting the day with Grammy (mil) , then we have an egg hunt at great grandma's, and food, and then over to mom's (mine) for food, and games. It makes for a long day.... But at least there's a hockey game to watch!

Happy Easter! We are celebrating at the beach this year - we had candy this morning and hid (darth vader shaped) eggs last night - today we used Jacques's Easter in Eggs to talk about why we celebrate :)

Works great for us. Just a little gift to mark it as a special day, but not enough to take away from the meaning of the Holiday. My kids are now playing outside and haven't even had any of the candy yet. Now don't ask me about the brownies I made for dessert, hehe.

Normally, church is a must on Easter, but this year my older son was visiting this past week (which is why I wasn't around) and he left this morning so I had to see him off. Then we went to my In-Laws' house for dinner, egg hunt, and fun.

I did catch Good Friday service, though. That was nice.

Happy Easter! We've spent most of the day outside doing egg hunts, blowing bubbles, and just hanging out. Dinner was left-overs since we had our big dinner yesterday. Pretty fun day :)

Happy Easter! Ours was spent enjoying a quiet day at home.

Ha[[y Easter to those who celebrate :D we just got back home after spending most of the Easter long weekend with hubby's family up north ... just our usual family get together with a few eggs shared and some relaxing at the beach.

Happy Easter! I'm in the choir at church so LOTS of church services for me. :giggle I did the 6:30 am, 8:00 am and 10:30 am services and while it sounds like a lot, I really loved every minute of it. Easter songs are my absolute favorite and we always end with the Hallelujah Chorus and invite anyone in the congregation that wants to sing it, to join us. It almost always moves me to tears it's so beautiful! :)

We also had friends in town and their parents go to our church, so they came to church and did the breakfast at church with us too. They are like extended family so that was super awesome to share the day with them.

After church we spent the afternoon at my In-laws house and it was so sunny and nice outside we were able to walk to the park for awhile. Did my soul good to see the sunshine! :)

We did an egg hunt at a nearby church Saturday morning. If you wanna read my diatribe abt said hunt, you can check out my FB status from this weekend. :giggle

Sunday morning, Miss Monkey got her Easter basket and ate some special funfetti pancakes for breakfast before we went to church. After church, we went to my ILs for dinner, and she played a very involved game of 'pet' with two of her cousins (which involved one of the cousins being a dog and she and the other cousin being its owners, I guess?!).

She is the only gurl (and will be considering SIL and BIL are done having kids and this is our last baby who is a boy) and LOVES getting right in the thick of things to play and laugh at their gross jokes. :beat

We had a nice day with the family. Hid some eggs for the kids and sent them on a scavenger hunt. Lots of good food, too.

We had a great time but I ate far to much chocolate and spent the whole week trying to be good to get rid oft he Easter weight lol
