Pad Patter 3/17 - St. Patrick's Day

Are you wearing your Green today? Anything special planned?

We rode our Harley to Memphis yesterday and celebrated St. Party's Day on Beale Street! So much fun so today it's cold, rainy, and just plain cold and we're recovering at home with the heat on. Oh....it was 84 yesterday and today....42 degrees!!!! Augh!

ooo, corned beef sounds yummy. No special plans here. The girls wore green, but it's not really a holiday we celebrate.

I've never gotten into St. Patrick's Day. Closest we got was we took a drive and went through some really pretty rolling green hills ...

Living in the city of Chicago and in an area with a lot of bars, I have learned to dread St. Patrick's Day (actually the Saturday of the parade and dying of the river). Large groups of intoxicated people dressed in green were wandering our neighborhood starting around 9am. We were braced for a loud night last night, but it was eerily quiet... no property damage, no trash and no partiers sleeping it off in our yard! It was a good year! Getting ready to have corned beef and cabbage for dinner... yum!

ha ha ha Tracie! I did Chicago one year for the green river and that part was pretty cool... but the bars were INSANELY packed and rowdy very early in the day. We still had fun but found a less crazy bar to hang out at. The first few were blocks from the river and if there has been a fire we were so packed in there we'd never have gotten out. Freaked me out.

We wore green, the leprechaun came and we stayed home. We didn't do anything exciting!!!!
