Last night I took my DD to an Off-Broadway show in our hometown... Beauty and the Beast.

Someone gave us GREAT tickets (4th row in the middle. EEK). It was MARVELOUS and we love these kinds of shows.

Les Mis is playing here, too, but went off last night so we missed that one :(.

My all-time favorite was AIDA on Broadway in NYC. It didn't have a long run but I loved, loved, loved it and still listen to the music.

So, do you have a favorite show? Is it a classic?

I love musicals!
The first broadway show I ever saw was Phantom of the Opera and have seen it in cities that I lived in as well as on Broadway--amazing.

We spent our honeymoon in NYC and saw Mamma Mia which was fun--great music.

My all time favorite is probably Wicked though--the music is so awesome and I love the story of friendship. But honestly, I am happy to see just about any musical when I can.

We saw Mamma Mia on Broadway last time we were there... a surprise for my 40th birthday. Super fun. Unbelievably, I have not seen Phantom. Shame on me, right? It's on my bucket list but there are always so many options when we got to NYC, which is only every few years, I usually skip it.

I love Broadway shows! My favorite of all time is Les Miserables. I also really loved Rent and How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, although that particular one might've been more the cast than anything else (we saw it when Daniel Radcliffe and John Larroquette were in it).

I saw a small town production of Into the Woods and am looking forward to seeing the movie version. Hopefully they do it justice… it's a good show.

I saw Miss Saigon in London (one of my first class passenger gave me 2 tickets ) … and Mamma Mia in Malaysia… but there is nothing like watching Broadway in LONDON!!! It's freaking awesome.. in Malaysia , everyone is kinda stiff … so they sit and watch without much expression!! BORING!! -> I think it's the asian thing!!

I went to see Cats in Los Angeles on a date in high school. It was amazing!!! And I loved how the stge was swt with large items to make us feel small like the cats. Cool!

I personally detest musicals! I know I must be weird :giggle I did see Buddy Holly the musical in London when I was there but I went with school and they had bulk ordered the tickets so it was more of a 'having to go as it was part of the deal' kind of thing. The only musicals I do like are Sound of Music (youth sentiment) and Phantom of the Opera.

I love plays and musicals! I had season tickets to the season here in Orlando for several years and saw a number of them including Rent, Sound of Music and The Lion King. I saw Beauty and the Beast on Broadway with the kids as well as Les Mis and The Producers. I haven't seen Wicked yet but it's definitely on my wish list, having heard so many good things about it.

I'm actually going to a play this afternoon, 33 Variations. Apparently, it's about the latter years of Beethoven's life/and of a current day composer dealing with a terminal illness. I imagine the story will be very sad but the music should be amazing! They re-did a 199 seat theatre in a small town west of here about 6 years ago and this is part of the season's plays. The next one is Hairspray and we're planning a girls night out to see it.

I saw The Sound of Music in London - amazing! and a couple lesser knowns on Broadway. Les Mis is probably my favorite and I really love West Side Story and Guys and Dolls too. Really, I'll take any kind of theater.

I. LOVE. ALL. THE. MUSICALS.

One of my very most favorites is 'Hairspray.' How can someone not like a musical abt a fat gurl who becomes a local celebrity, sings and dances her way through school,, and ends up with The Hot Guy?! :beat

I love going to musicals too! I've been to quite a few and I don't think I hated any of them except for maybe one high school version we went to two years ago of Into the Woods. It was just weird and WAY too long. I've seen Aida too and I LOVED that one. I still listen to the music all the time. The only one I've seen on Broadway was Phantom of the Opera and we had fabulous seats, right under the chandelier. I'd heard the music, but never saw the actual musical and it was fantastic! :)

I got to see Phantom of the Opera and Wicked when they were in Brisbane and it was just fantastic!!!!

I love musicals so much and I'm so lucky that I live so close to NYC and get to see them on Broadway! My grandmother used to take the whole family to see shows all the time until it became too expensive. I decided last year that I need to treat myself to more shows so I've been trying to see as many as I can - sometimes with friends or family or just on my own.

I recently saw Newsies, which was a lot of fun, and Beautiful, the new musical about Carole King and that was really fantastic. Great performance by the actress playing King and lots of classic songs. I also have tickets to see Neil Patrick Harris in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the revival Cabaret with Alan Cummings and Michelle Williams and another new show with Sutton Foster. I signed up for an audience rewards program and check Living Social/Groupon for deals and get some pretty good prices.

I like local productions as well as the big ones and and so many movie versions as well. My absolute favorite shows of all time are Les Mis and Wicked. And Rent. And Avenue Q. And Phantom. I saw Annie last year, which was like one of my biggest childhood dreams come true! And that was especially fun because I took my nieces.

i love plays. broadway is amazing. i live about an hour from the city ... but it so expensive to go to broadway these days. i don't do it enough.

i love going to local plays. especially ones that support the local schools. so fun to see fresh young actors giving it their all on stage. plus the price is right! ;)

Growing up, the elementary school would go and see all the high school musical productions during dress rehearsal. I loved them! I've only ever been to one as an adult, and it was one of the few times my husband has surprised me. We were in Las Vegas visiting his parents who live there, and he asked me to go see a movie. The Blind Side had just come out and I really wanted to see it, so we headed out and he drove to the Venetian. I figured there was a movie theater there, it wasn't until we were at the ticket window that I figured it out! We saw Phantom of the Opera and it was awesome.
