I just got back from a vacation a few hours ago and we went to Singapore Universal Studios.

So I want to know what theme parks you have been to and do you do the 'big' rides? What is your all time favorite ride?

We have done Disneyland, Six Flags Vallejo, Legoland, Seaworld San Diego, Universal Studios Singapore, and Movie World, Wet and Wild, Seaworld and Dreamworld in Queensland Australia.

My all time favorite ride is Space Mountain at Disney, closely followed by Transformers at Universal Studios. I am ok with most of the rides and it depends on my mood.

My first theme park was Libertyland in Memphis when I was about 6 years old (it's closed now). I didn't ride my first roller coaster until I was in my early twenties and went to Six Flags Great America and I loved every second of it. I've only been to a handful of parks...Six Flags Great Adventure and Universal Studios Hollywood would be the other two I've been to. I love the big rides...just don't love standing in line so much.

I think my favorite rollercoaster ride is at Hollywood Studios in DisneyWorld - Rockin' Rollercoaster the Aerosmith rollercoaster. I also loved the Mt. Everest rollercoast at Animal Kingdom - my daughter who was 6 at the time LOVED that one - I thought it was a little crazy going backwards, but totally a rush!

I've only ever been to Cedar Point and King's Island, both here in Ohio. I LOVE roller coasters! I think my favorite is the Raptor at Cedar Point. Not one of the newest, but super fun!

I loved amusement parks much more when I was younger, although I just had an awesome time at Disney World in the fall. I grew up with lots of trips to Six Flags Great Adventure and the boardwalks at the Jersey shore. Now, I'm kind of chicken when it comes to rides after I had a bad experience on the Superman rollercoaster at Six Flags. My favorite park is still Universal's Islands of Adventure in Orlando and I think the Hulk is the best coaster.

I HATE roller costers. I always have, and my mom and most of my siblings are the same way, so I think it's genetic. When I was young (like junior high/high school) I used to go on them at our local amusement park in Utah, trying to overcome my fear, but it's just sheer terror for me. Finally I just decided it wasn't worth it. Seriously I get soooo nervous and I get mean and ornery to everyone around me while we're waiting in line cuz I'm so anxious!

I'm ok on some of the smaller coasters, like Space Mountain or Splash Mountian at Dinseyland, but what really kills me are the huge drops. You'll never get me on Tower of Terror or something like that, I'd rather die.

I love the rides but nowadays, not so much. Fear of heights has gotten the better of me as I've gotten older. But back in the day....I'd go on any thrill-seeker rides.

totally forgot to mention my favorite roller coaster ... hands down it's the Viper at Great America..it's a newer wooden roller coaster...but ohhh so much fun. I actually got to ride it the year it opened and rode it this past fall. I could honestly spend a day at Six Flags just riding this one coaster.

Angie, if I were to take a trip to Ohio to go to an amusement park would you recommend one over the other? As a family we've been talking about visiting different parks and both of the Ohio parks you mentioned are within an easy day's drive. The one bonus I would have is that we might have someone to crash with if we were to go to King's Island since I have family in Cincinnati (plus it's about an hour closer to us I think).

I've been to Cedar Point 2x, King's Island, Six Flags in VA (but only for a concert), Indiana Beach, Disney World a few times, MGM Studios (if they still call it that), Sea World, Busch Gardens, and Circus World. I *hate* rollercoasters (not afraid of heights, just hate them), so going to theme parks is not usually my idea of a good time.

I would MUCH rather go to the state fair half a dozen times as I love all those type of twirly-whirly rides.

Unfortunately, DH loves rollercoasters and hates whirly-twirlys, so we are at quite the standstill in amusement choices. *lol* I'm waiting for DD to grow up to go on the state fair rides with me, and DH is waiting for SS to mature a little/be brave enough to go on the rollercoasters with him.

DH and DD love the spin around in circles fair rides but they make me soooo ill. I always feel nauseated after one of those rides...now I just watch them have fun. I'm so glad the two of them like roller coasters as well.

I've only been to 2 small theme parks, Adventure World here in Perth and one in New Zealand when I was 13. We go to Adventure World every year which is about half water slides and half dry rides. Personally I'm too scared to go on very much at all! lol Luckily I still have the excuse of looking after the young child!

The only real theme park I've been to is Six Flags. We have plans to go to Disney for my daughter's 4th birthday. I don't do big rides though so I really have no desire to visit theme parks other than for my kids.

oh goodness - i am an amusement park addict :) i LOVE LOVE LOVE them :) i love all roller coasters and all twirly whirly rides - and my kids do too :) my oldest was finally able to ride space mountain and everest expedition this week at disneyworld - she was in heaven :) i can't even think of a favorite roller coaster - i love them all :) i've been to lots and lots of parks (b/c i've lived in lots of place) - we go to amusement parks several times each year (maybe 10 times this year ?!?!) ...

I'm not a thrill seeker. I like rides, but nothing too scary. If it jerks my neck around a lot, I avoid them. I have a bulging disc in my neck, and if something like that goes out...I'm in such pain and nothing helps. It's just not worth it.

I grew up going to theme parks though...Disney, Knotts, Six Flags...I loved all of the old roller coaster type rides, but the newer ones freak me out and I'm wondering why I'm risking my life when I get on them.

We really don't do a lot of amusement parks. As a child, I just went to the band fest carnival and the 4th of july carnival for my yearly ride fix. As a teen, we went to Adventureland a few times as a family, and I went to Valley Fair with a church group. When I was newly married without kids, we went to Universal Studios once. I LOVE the log ride and raging river rides!!

With my own kids, so far we've only done carnivals and the state fair for rides. Last summer was the first year we've done a ton of rides at once - I bought the kids wristbands and will definitely do that again now that they are older. We have also played around with the idea of going to adventureland this coming summer - but I hate that it costs so much - we are a family of 7! I might end up getting a season pass just to make each trip a bit more affordable.

There is definitely no disneyland in our future - I can't see spending the money, plus I hate airplanes, lol.

10 times in a year!! Wow, that sounds like a lot of fun!

Oh my! I love amusement parks. I've been to so many it's hard to count. I think my favorite rides are The Big Dipper at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (rode it over and over again as a teenager!), The Mattahorn at Dinseyland California, and the Tea Cups at Disneyland. Of the newer 3D rides, I love the Harry Potter Ride and the Spiderman ride at Universal's Islands of Adventure. But, I will admit, I couldn't bring myself to get on The Incredible Hulk ride. I guess age (and reason) are setting in. LOL!

I have only been to Hershey Park and I rode anything and everything though I will now NEVER ride a wooden coaster again. I thought I was gonna die and was bruised all along one side of my body from being thrown around so much. it was AWFUL!
