Okay, I know there are a few ladies here that are runners and although I'm not a runner, I need some new sneakers. Next month I'll be participating in a mini-kickball tournament at work and then in May I'll have softball. I'm not needing a specific type of shoe but one for general use to wear with jeans or shorts.

What is your favorite sneaker/tennis shoe? How about a shoe that you really want?

I have always worn Brooks or Asics but they are specific running shoes that I was fitted for at our local running store (let me tell you how glamorous it is to run on a treadmill in the middle of the mall :giggle). For just a general all purpose shoe you can't really go wrong with Nikes :)

I love Asics because they're light on my feet and wide enough for them. Plus they have some good looking ones too, if you're just looking for general wear.

I actually own Mizunos for running. Love the way they feel on my feet. For work I usually wear Asics but right now I have Reebok ZigNanos. They are so cool looking! I constantly get compliments when I wear them. I also love my Mizunos because they are all white with hot pink and black detailing. The first time I wore them to run I kept looking down at my feet. ;) Good luck finding yourself a pair.

I currently run in Nike Free+ and love them. They're minimalist running shoes.

For general walking around, I love the retro New Balance 501. Love so much I bought one pair, then bought another pair. :)

I admire all of you runners - I had to google some of these shoes. They look so cool! My sneakers are definitely not for running! I have a few pairs of walking Nikes and I have lots of Converse. In fact, I just got a new pair of purple ones and I love them! :)

That I can see from here:

Mizuno Wave Inspire 7
Nike Structure 15
Nike Structure 14
Asics 2160
Asics 2150
Nike Lunarglide
Asics Gel Noosa
Brooks Adrenaline

Those are all for running, since I need a stability shoe. My neutral ones that I wear to the gym or crossfit or whatever are Nike Air Pegasus 28 (I have 2 pair of those) and Saucony Kinvara (racing flats).

Shut up.

My suggestion is to go try them on. . .everyone's feet are different and shoes fit differently too.

I run in Mizuno's and Brooks. . . I would love to wear Nike, since they are so cute~ but, they don't feel good on my feet!

Well you don't want stability if you don't need it and aren't running. They're heavy. lol

I wear Brooks, too. I agree with you Tana, Nike's don't feel good on my feet either.

I'm the weird one. I have the worst feet for sneakers. I have tried every brand (Mizuno, Brooks, Nike, Reebok, etc), been fitted by professionals, spent tons of money and you know which ones I run in? Champion ActiveLite from Payless Shoes. Every other brand has given be pressure blisters on the bottom of my feet except for these.

I guess you just find what works and go with it. $35 works for me :)
