My DD collects keychains and I think it's an awesome souvenir as they don't take up much room and are not very expensive.

I used to collect dolls as a little girl. Like the kind that stand on a shelf. I have passed my collection down to my daughter although sadly, she doesn't appreciate them, LOL, and they are "displayed" in her closet.

Now, when I travel I tend to pick up Christmas Ornaments and/or coffee mugs... so I guess that's what I "collect" now. Again, cheap and easy, hehe.

So, do you collect anything? Any collections that you hope to pass on? Or perhaps were given a collection by someone?

I used to collect penguins. I even have a couple custom pottery pieces made by a teacher I used to work with. They are all packed up and stored away now though.

The only thing I make an effort to collect is Hallmark Christmas decorations - I started when my eldest was one so over 20 years worth - only two a year though...

My daughter collects scissors, not sure why but she gets some very birthday and christmas.

I collect hobbies... and digi supplies. :)

I used to collect keychains in junior high and high school. I especially loved the mini converse high top tennis shoes on a keychain. I had a bunch in every colors. I came across my collection recently when my parents cleaned out my old closet. I finally threw them away about a year ago.

Now I really don't collect anything because I already have too much "stuff" that comes along with all my hobbies. :)

I collected dolls but most are in boxes. The collection started with dolls I got when I was flower girl. I am still drawn to dolls I found out on my trip but limited myself. I am trying to switch to Christmas ornaments too. They are so much smaller to pack too.

ohh yes!!! have collected all kinds through my youth, I had a collection of erasers , different shapes and smells and oh so cute!!!! I had 250 when I had to leave them behind moving from Rio to Madrid...

I have two things that are very obvious in our house: cheap jewelry/bijouterie- and magnets in the fridge....

Sarita collected porcelain dolls, she has almost 70, which we packed away in 2012 when she thought it was time to change her Barbie colored room into a more teenage thing...

Now about key chains, if you want to give us your postal address, I can send her lots, amazing ones from Brazil and other places we have been :) we also have a good collection of those...but mainly because we both loose keys so much....we need a stash :giggle

I used to collects bells and Pez dispensers, but I don't have space for that now. Now I just collect digi supplies. :giggle

What she said!! This is so me! :giggle
I collect hobbies... and digi supplies. :)

I am a stationary nut job. I go into office supply stores and get dizzy with excitement. :dizzy Give me all the pretty paper and pens!!
I too collected keychains in high school... I had a giant basket of them. I sold the whole lot several years ago to another lucky collector.

Starbucks coffee mugs are about the only thing I collect. I guess I could say scrapbooking supplies too (digital and traditional)

I love penguins, like Jaye. I don't really collect them, but other people seem to think I do, and now I have a collection. Does that make sense? My mom buys ornaments, and family buys other things with them on it. I've told my mom to move onto other things, since I have SO many ornaments now, lol! We don't even bring them all out at the holidays.

It's gotten better since I was younger though. I don't think I have any other collections. I'm a purger.

I used to collect all things "angels". I even have an angel tattoo! I liked the Raphael angels, and there were little Dreamsicle angels that I collected too. I don't have much of my collection anymore, and I don't have anything angel in my house, just not my decorating style, but that is what I used to collect.

My 9 year old daughter is so into collecting "Squishies" right now. She makes most of them with foam and paint, but you can buy them too. Here is an idea of what I am talking about. She is OBSESSED. She watched youtube video upon youtube video on how to make your own.

Sorry for the big photo - does anyone know how to scale it down without editing the photo and saving thru another site?!

I don't really "Collect" anything as such ....... But I seem to be building a collection of Yankee Candles! Oh My!

I don't really collect anything now - but about 13 years ago I had a phase where I collected vintage clothes - specifically party and day dresses from the 40's -> early 60's. I still have all the dresses and should probably figure out a way to sell some of them since most of them are soooooooo small!

I collect vintage accessories - brooches, scarves, handbags from the 1950s-60s. I collect vintage kitchenware too. Same era. But I use it. I also love owls and have collected them for years and years (way before they were a retro fad). But my owl collection is mostly "useful" stuff: cookie jars, jewelry, artwork, stationary etc. I don't collect "figurines" or tschotke owls.

I guess I collect a lot but my collections serve a purpose. I don't like to collect things that are just "dust collectors"

I have a huge collection of cabbage patch kids dolls. They are in the basement. Bianca doesn't do dolls so I might just donate them.

My grandmothers (both of them!) collected owls. Ai yi yi

I have a collection of barbies - sort of - dad has gotten me one every year since I was little for Christmas - they all represent something - for example - the year I got married I received wedding Barbie, the year I had Zac I received Barbie and Baby, the year we got our new dog - veterinarian Barbie. Its funny to look and them and see the pattern of my life with them.

Cookbooks, though I haven't bought any in a while cuz the internet is a thing that exists now
