Do you hate it? Love it? Not mind it? Do you not drive? Why?

I hate it. Because I have the attention span of a gnat and I'm bored 15 seconds into wherever I'm going. I have to check my email at red lights. I'm awful.

And I get car sick if I read or whatever while someone else drives, so that doesn't even help.

hmm I like driving which is good because as a mum of two and I do a bit of it - I let my eldest DD put on the alternative music station and I listen to all the new groovy (lol) music and the time passes pretty well.

I hate the day that I drive to work and I am opening my office and I go ... what that hell? how did I get here because I can't remember the trip LOL

Now that both kids are in school, I find driving alot less stressful. :)

I recently got an iphone and so I've been listening to scrapping podcasts when I need to drive more than 10 minutes anywhere (without the kids), and love it.

I probably should've been a truck driver since I love to drive! Especially long distances with the tunes cranked up loud and not a care in the world. :)

I hate it. If I never drive again I'll be happy.

I also get very bored. And as soon as I get in the car I get sleepy so I'd prefer to sleep the whole time.

I'm okay with it. I have an hour commute (half hour each way) to work, and, most of it is very little traffic. I actually find that it's pretty relaxing, especially on my way home, and a great way to decompress after a long day.

For long rides (over 4 hours) I struggle, because I have restless leg syndrome and it tends to flare up when I sit too long. So I get very antsy and my legs and hips start to bother me if I don't get out and walk occasionally.

I used to love driving. It wouldn't be anything for me to just hop in my car and go just to see where I wound up. Now, I have major anxiety when I drive...A couple of years ago I went almost a year without driving because I just couldn't deal with getting behind the wheel. Now I pretty much only drive when I feel like I have to, usually DD to scouts or 4h or our homeschool group, or to Heather's (which is completely nerve racking for me..but I get through it to spend time with the fab ladies there). All errand running, grocery shopping etc is done as a family, driving around town with multiple stops honestly freaks me out the most.

I hate it. Always have. Always will.

I'm a mom of 5, so I have NO CHOICE. Hubby is out of town most of the time.

Oh and why is it that the girl that hates to drive always ends up being the D.D. when we go out??!!?? Ironic.

In general I don't mind driving in areas I'm familiar with, especially if the traffic is not excessive, although I prefer not driving at night. But trying to get somewhere on time when we're running a smidge late or the traffic isn't cooperating stresses me out. I hate being late. I like to tell all the other drivers what they're doing wrong to slow me down. I don't honk or swear or anything... just vent... but my son shakes his head and says things like "you know they can't hear you, right?" or "you shouldn't judge; maybe they have a perfectly good reason for driving half the speed limit". :giggle

The worst for me is driving at night. My night vision is so, so horrible even with glasses. My depth perception at night is junk.

I'm an accident waiting to happen.

That's also the reason I hate driving - Ella and I were in a nasty accident a few years back and it really messed with my mind. It's also the reason my kids will be in a car seat until they are 20.

Angie is my twin....luckily I live 2 miles from work and my DH drives anywhere else we go (cause he hates the way I drive LOL)....but I don't drive unless I HAVE too!

I don't mind driving. I'm actually very calm while I drive and everybody else is driving like crazy, which is why I think I've never been pulled over or gotten any tickets in over 14 years driving. But if I had a choice I rather be a passenger and let the hubby drive. On longer trips I like taking turns.

I'm not a huge fan of driving. I can't drive in unfamiliar places at all. We moved way out into the country a few years back and having to drive that all the time really helped take some of the anxiety of driving away. I still hate driving at night and it gets worse every year. My eyes just suck. It's hard for me to deal with all the visual input.

I don't mind driving actually, it does make me nervous though. I can drive long distances without having trouble getting bored, music usually entertains me pretty well, that or the kids acting like nuts.

I don't mind driving around town, but highway driving makes me SO sleepy!!

I don't like to drive and try to not drive if there is another adult in the car with me, but driving around town on errands, etc. with DD is not bad. I just find driving so boring and feel like I'm 'wasting time' since I don't do anything else while I'm doing it.

I refuse to drive in large metro areas on their interstates, though. I get very panicky and nervous which makes me freeze and unable to think through a mistake if I'm in the wrong lane, miss my exit, etc.

I find it very difficult to drive at night and especially when it's foggy/snowing/raining. The headlights from oncoming traffic blind me, so I only drive short distances on roads I'm very familiar with then.

I don't mind driving, but I can also enjoy being a passenger, actually enjoying the scenery or whatever there is to look at.

Love it... Long, short, light, dark, new places or old... All good.

I'd much rather drive than ride, too - this old girl's inner ear must be getting slushy! ;)
