This is such a wonderful time of year and each year we pick a night to get in the car & go check out light displays around town or in the city. Some people go to elaborate lengths with lights such as our world-renowned Osborne family who also does the Disney Lights in Florida.

Are there big light displays around you and have you gone to see them? Last night while driving i found a couple that were absolutely beautiful!
 
My neighbor across the street has enough lights up for the whole street. I will try to remember to take a photo to show you :)
 
Our running club does a holiday run where we actually RUN through the big display at the fairgrounds. It's way cool!

I live in a city so people don't have a lot of room to decorate. You do see a lot of lights in windows and some blocks are crazy looking with all the clashing blinking lights! So while we don't have a lot of displays here, I'm a quick bus ride away from New York City, where there are lots of great decorations, store windows and the Rockefeller Tree! I'll be going to see it all again soon! :)
 
Our little town does a neat lights display along the whole length of the bluff overlooking the beach. They added a light display to music last year and it was pretty cool. You walk the sidewalk along the whole road and go through some of the lights and they have a few that move. My favorite is the big Frosty that waves and winks at you. :) They just turned those lights on this Friday, but I haven't even driven down there yet. We'll probably go down there tomorrow night.
 
I wish we had some here, too. I love to look at them, but sadly in germany its not that popular
 
I captured a 'crappy' photo on my iPhone Friday night of this little town that I go through on Friday nights heading to the camp. It's such a tiny little village with just a country store but the lights they put up along the road just lights up the entire place. I'm going to work with Lightroom and see if I can make it better and scrap a page. It is a wonderful time of year!
 
There aren't many neighborhoods near us that do anything like that. We're planning a trip to the zoo though. They do "zoo lights" every year, and it is pretty amazing.
 
There are a few streets in my mom's neighborhood where every single house does huge light displays. And there's a cove around the corner from us where the two houses in the middle of it do huge HUGE light displays and the boys love driving by it.
 
My neighborhood is pretty crazy full of lights. Everyone was out decorating the day after Thanksgiving. Some of it looks tasteful, some of it makes my eyes cross.
