Do you have messes ALWAYS in your house that you're able to ignore? Some that you can't?

My basement always looks like homeless people have taken it over. Somehow I'm able to tunnel vision my way through it to get to the laundry room.

But dishes on the counter? That'll make me snap.

We have three boxes left to be unpacked from our move a year ago in our downstairs family room. I don't even see those anymore... until we take photos down there and I see them in the background :-/

My daughter's socks... those send me over the edge. They're EVERYwhere!!!

We have a storage area in the basement that is full of "stuff". I have purged and purged but there is still a ton of stuff there (mostly items we don't want to part with because they have sentimental value - or something we "may" use in the future), but it drives me crazy when I walk in to the room because there is just SO much there!

The one thing in our "living area" that makes me bonkers is hubby's shoes right inside of the back door. Glad he takes them off, but dang, the laundry room is two steps away - I'm always thinking "Dude, just put 'em away". :giggle

Messes give me a tick in my left eye. Seriously. The only place that's messy in my house is my desk, and it's in the closet of our den, so I can close to the door. But even then, I clear it off thoroughly and often!

Messes give me a tick in my left eye.

I would be ticking all day! haha :) I am quite a messy person i can say - some i can ignore. A dirty kitchen counter though is an absolute no no. Before me cooks - it has to be all clean...after? welll, i really dont care! lol :)

seriously - if i didnt have help, i dont know what i would do!

There are lots of messes in our house that I can ignore... but like you Angie, my kitchen is not one of them. I HATE having messy counters or the table.

I hate messes...I see them all. Doing something about them is an entirely different story though. I try but my house is always cluttered and most often not as clean as I'd like.

Don't get me started..... My husband is almost a border. The clutter drives me nuts.

I hate messes and am always picking up stuff that i can see. Inside closets, I don't care much. I let the kids play and make their mess but when they're done they have to immediately pick up.

If I have a good book to read you would be surprised what I can over look in the mess department :giggle

I go in and out of phases, cluttered/neat. Just depends on my energy level.

My desk in my room is messy right now, but i just don't have room for things and my husband keeps bringing his laptop and all his stuff up to it too. I just kind of leave it like this because I know as soon as my son and his family move out, their room will be my craft room/office/extra room.

As for things that send me over the edge: my daughter in law is a bit of a pig. She leaves piles of stuff EVERYWHERE. I'm constantly picking up her stuff and putting it in one spot (which drives her crazy btw LOL). A dirty kitchen and junk all over the counters will make me snap! Just ask my boys LOL

My garage is the biggest mess around here, but I can ignore that. I can't ignore messes around the house though.

My house is always a wreck with messes everywhere from 2 kids, 1 baby, and 1 husband with ADHD who needs to have everything OUT in order to know where it is and be able to use it.

Sigh. :hissy
