Do you use them? How many do you have?

My grandmother was a collector, and so was I. So I have hundreds. But lately the internet seems to trump them, so I feel like they are antiquated now. :( I haven't bought many new ones in a long while. But I still love all the ones I have. When I get a new one, I read it like a book.

I probably should get rid of some, but I don't want to. :giggle

I miss going to Borders and browsing the bargain bin for new ones.

I am a self-declared cookbook ho. I love, love, LOVE them. And no, I don't use them. Or at least I don't use most of them. But that's always my plan. One day maybe!

Hmmm it depends on what I want to cook - if its a tried and true recipe I will turn out the old cookbooks but it it is something new that I haven't tried for some reason I like to look it up on the internet .... I'm so wishy washy!

I have a ton of cookbooks, and they are all still packed from when we moved in April. :D The interwebz is my new cookbook.

I need to get rid of them, I only use a few, but I know the others are good too. I just haven't sit down and seen what recipes they have.

I have a bookcase just filled with cookbooks,
but I still buy them, and Pin every recipe that I even think I might try lol

I have a bunch of them, but I hardly use them anymore. I'm always looking online for new recipes.

I have a few currently. I used to collect them, but I sold them all on ebay a couple years ago because it seemed silly to keep buying them when you can find any recipe you want for free online with reviews. I do miss buying and looking through them though.

Our cookbooks are still packed away from our move 4 years ago. Alan has a hand written family recipe book created by his mom - it has some great stuff in there... old recipes from many generations. I have a family recipe book that was created and printed a few years ago. I even have a paper scrapbook of recipes from a recipe club that I was a part of a few years ago. Alas all of these have not seen the light of day in ages. I turn to pinterest to find inspiration and allrecipes is another go to site that I frequent.

I only have a few. My mom bought me the big BH&G cookbook when I got married, plus we have a family cookbook that my aunts on my Dad's side put together that has a TON of good stuff in it, everything I ate at family parties growing up. :) Oh, and I got a Rachael Ray cookbook when I went to her show one time - she gave them to everyone in the audience. I mostly rely on Pinterest and All Recipes!

i have tons and tons of cookbooks - but 95% of the time i get my recipes from the internet. at some point i'm going to get rid of my cookbooks and declutter my kitchen, but it's sooooo hard to let them go!

I might have to ask you ladies for your fav recipes soon LOL my new years goal is to like cook better haha

I never said I cooked. :rofl

I actually USED to love cooking. Full meals every day with homemade bread and I'd make a big dessert every 2-3 days. What happened to me? I don't know. But I never cook anymore.

Luckily I have a kid that likes to, or we'd never eat. lol

I have 7, and my husband thinks that's excessive...on account of I never use any of them. I get most of my recipes from pinterest & blogs I read.

I have a bunch, but I did get rid of a bunch, too! I'm in the "Internet recipes" camp, but I couldn't let go of a few. Like I have the annual Cooking Light compendiums from a span of years - and then some of the timeless ones, like Joy of Cooking, etc. Those come in handy when I need basic cooking instruction for classic things.
