No, not from alcohol (although that may be applicable for some, but this is a family site :giggle) but from CANDY! My kids spent all day yesterday eating their loot... without limits. Mainly b/c I'm ready to get it out of my house!

And what did they eat for breakfast this morning? You got it. More candy! When will those buckets be empty?

I'm hoping they don't get tummy aches at church today, hehe...

SO...I know yesterday was DSD and the PAR-TAY is still going strong around here. Isn't that awesome... more time to SHOP and SCRAP and CHATTER and PLAY!

Are you spending your DSD time snacking on your kidlets' candy? Or the leftover trick or treat stash? Or are you being good and digging into your carrots that you bought with the goal of eating more healthy (who me?)

Time to Fess Up!

I tried to limit them yesterday, but I will admit the first pieces were eaten at 9 am, after listening to them beg for 2 hours.:giggle

and…I guess I should confess that I swiped a couple of crunch bars after they were in bed.

And yes, yes I have been eating my kids candy to fuel my scrapping/shopping/Bart stalking! No guilt here. I'm pregnant I can get away with anything food related.

My kid is weird and doesn't really like trick or treating, so he only went down my parents' street... and got very little candy. HE is okay with that. Me? Not so much. So I got some 50% candy while grocery shopping yesterday. That is what I was snacking on yesterday- and went to bed feeling not so great. :)

I hid the bucket because I don't want them to eat them all at once. I do wish all the candy was gone though cause I'm going to have to deal with them eating it everyday. My daughter is cavity prone so I make sure she brushes her teeth a few times a day especially now.
My favorites are Reese's and Butterfinger so I've been eating some of those!

We are on candy overload here, but have been running around so much this weekend that I haven't even had the time to take a photo of their loot. *gasp! They haven't eaten much of their loot yet either. *double gasp

I am guilty of swiping some gobstoppers and a few tootsie rolls from their stash.

Since my kids are grown and the parents of the little ones, I have no kidlets around with bags of the loot. I do have lots of leftovers though since the grandkids that live nearby come over here for trick or treating and handing out candy. A couple of years ago I started taking the leftovers to work and now have a permanent candy jar sitting on my desk for staff to dip into. I left the jar in the break room on Friday when I left as a Halloween treat for the ones that had to work Friday night so I am sure it is quite empty and in need of restocking. I confess to eating a mini Butterfinger yesterday.

Well just ate one more piece. Butterfingers are a childhood favorite so I have trouble resisting those!

A kiss for Bart!

ETA: chocolate covered grasshoppers sound like quite the delicacy!

Popping in to say that I have actually eaten a chocolate covered bug of some kind... not 100% sure if grasshoppers. It was in Belize, I think. Or maybe Panama. Regardless, the fact that it was crunchy was the worst part.

I've heard of chocolate covered bugs like that being available. Don't know if I could ever try them though!

I ate a fried grasshopper once, yuck. :thumbsdowns No thanks on a chocolate covered one. I would rather have another Butterfinger!:pigout

we have been running on sugar high now for 3 days... enough, that candy has to disappear!

I don't have kids. Neither do my sister & BIL. We live with my Dad too. But somehow we bought way too much candy.:whistle
I may or may not have had way too much to do with that.
yum. now I'm all hopped up on chocolate and diet coke. so, yeah. I'll be up awhile. LOL
