Have you done it? What was it?

I don't have the nerve, I just know I'd somehow get busted and I'm a big sissy when it comes to being caught doing something wrong.

I also haven't really ever gotten anything that I didn't like and was also worth re-gifting. My ex MIL gave some doozy gifts, but nothing I'd give to anyone else. LOL
 
In general, no I don't really-gift as in wrapping it and giving it. I have though offered items that weren't useful to me to friend who were not related to the ones who gave the item. Mostly, my parents and inland give us $ to spend as we like though.

I have a stash of items in my closet though that a solution came up - our local breast cancer foundation is having a silent auction at the end of the month that I will donate a few items to for a great cause!
 
Guilty. Openly admitted it. The recipient was thrilled with the gift and I was caught. The original gift giver was happy that I found a way to "use" the item to make me happy. She admitted it was re-gift on her part too. :)

I have donated unwanted items to silent auctions. :) I think that's how most silent auctions get their stuff!
 
Nope. I just chuck whatever it is that I don't like/want. I don't want something crappy taking up space in my house to be potentially regifted at some magical point in the future. I am not that resourceful!
 
I have re-gifted in the sense, that if I don't like it I give it to someone that wants it or needs it but I tell them it's a re-gift. Does that count? Plus, I don't give it as a gift for a special occasion, I do it just because.
 
I don't think I've ever re-gifted... maybe I've passed something along that I didn't need to someone else who I knew would use it.
 
I have. We got probably 3 different knife sets for our wedding and a friend was getting married a couple of months after us.... we re-gifted them a knife set. I remember stressing because I couldn't remember whether or not we took the card out of the box. I still don't know and we haven't re-gifted anything else since (that was 15 years ago).
 
I could never actually regift an item. I could give it to someone if I knew they could use it, but I could never actually give it as a gift.

no ive never regifted but im rather lucky everything i get i usually like and my husband gets my suprises off my mil now so i like them lol
