Okay, so I found a fabulous wall decoration that I want to do and I've got the old window so it's just a matter of getting the shutters at Lowe's or Home Depot and a couple of pictures to go on each side.

DH will probably shake his head thinking I've lost my mind again!

Have you found a project that you'd like to do for your home? If so, give me an idea what you'd like to do. I need suggestions for a couple of walls in my house.

I have no design sense. LOL My walls are all bare. Coated in lovely colors, but bare.

Oh Mel, it looks so beautiful and cozy!!! My DH took lots of photos earlier(waterfalls, autumn leaves, etc...) so we have a few his photos on walls but I wish have some similar as on your photo...

Mel I love that!! Please post any other brilliant ideas you have here so I can copy em, eh!? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I seem to be decor illiterate or something..lol!

That's really cool Mel! You'll have to post once you complete yours!

I love that! You can always try thrift/antique stores too! Get them for a lot cheaper and fix them up yourself!

Okay, so I've got DH on 3 projects for the coming 2 months! Yes, he has until April to get these done! LOL

1) Built-in Bench on the deck with the seat that lifts up for storage. (He LOVED that idea!)

2) Extend the deck to the Pool. (Yes, I spent an entire $250 on a pool from Walmart!) LOL

3) Measure the old window I have, buy 2 shutters, paint the shutters. (This should take him no more than a couple of hours as I'm timing him on this project.)

There! I think those should keep him busy for a little bit! Oh, and the "B" word came out of his mouth but in a very joking way! Yep, that's me!

Melanie~ where did you find your window. . . at an antique store? I saw this idea, maybe on Pinterest, and I think it's fantastic! Let us see the finished product when you are done. I actually want to use old vintage windows for something on my fireplace mantle.

I got 2 windows when my neighbor tore down a house for a job he was doing and he brought the windows home and his wife told him to get rid of 'em. I had a yard sale a couple of years ago and someone saw the windows in the garage (which they weren't for sale) and they offered me $75 a window. I just couldn't part with them and yet....years later, they're still in the garage!

That's an awesome idea! You'll have to post pictures when you finish it.

First, I need to print & hang pictures. I need an 11x14 of myself, my husband & the kids. I am also going to print some 8x10's of some pictures I took of the sunrise over the bay.

Next, I want to do something like this:

I want to do each state in a separate frame though. It'll start with where we grew up/met and then one frame for each place we've lived. I'll add to it every time we move (I hope we have a very long wall by the end of his career! :) ).

And I want to do something like this for my jewelry:

Oh, girl! I love those ideas and since I was an Air Force dependent daughter and wife, I could fill a wall with maps! That is a totally cool idea! And I'm so doing the jewelry organizer. I have all my necklaces hanging from my lamps in the bedroom. (Yea, its called Redneck Stylin')

:lol I just mentioned what are next home projects are. Building a new master bedroom, replacing our two main doors, and the windows.

I am going to work on something similar to this....

and something like this... with more color and less big (as my daughter calls it "serial killer writing") lettering

An easy thing I did for my necklaces was to take a frame, screw some knobs on and put some scrap paper behind...
