Do YOU play any? Are your kids obsessed with any?

We just got a new Guitar Hero disk for Christmas and my kids (and husband) have been playing it non-stop. Who knew that an old game that we had before would be the hit of Christmas? lol

I used to play EverQuest, but I just don't have that kind of time anymore.

I have a wii and an old PS2 and I wish I had time to play more games. I mostly use my wii for streaming Netflix or Hulu lately. I like to play easy games - wii Sports Resort, Guitar Hero, some Simpsons games, Mario Karts. I have a Lego game that I haven't even opened yet. I'm not so good at anything that takes coordination, although I used to kick butt at Tekken, mostly because I just pressed a lot of buttons on the remote. It used to drive my ex-boyfriend crazy!

I also play Simpsons Tapped Out and all the different Angry Birds games on my phone, but I've been trying to cut back on those.

When I was a kid, my parents thought video games were for boys so I used to watch my brother play for hours and he'd only let me play once in awhile. It was a big deal for me to finally get my own console!

No, I don't play any. I'd rather do other things when I have free/screen time. I'm not a game person, generally speaking, unless it comes to word games (crosswords, Scattergories, etc.)

DH and his son are currently obsessed with some kind of hunting game on the Wii. DD is too little to play video games.

We have an Xbox and my husband and kids play together (either Skylanders or Lego Marvel). I've played a couple of times, but it just ins't my thing. ;)

My kids play i-anything as far as games go. They've been wanting a Wii for a while - may be a Valentines treat for them...

I play a couple of phone games and so does hubby.

Ty loves the iPad, Xbox and Wii U! He is games mad.

Since Ty got the Wii u for Christmas we are playing games as a family occasionally Wii U Party is a lot of fun

I play some games on my phone. Occasionally I'll play some Super Bros on the Wii if the boys need me to pass a level for them. ;) Or I'll unlock another track on Super Mario Kart if they need me to do that. They're quickly becoming good enough that they don't need me, though.

I play Sims 3. Have played that game since the very first version... it's my escape from reality lol

I like to occasionally play the lego's games like Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc etc but that's about it. The hubby is into the Black Ops games, Assassins Creed games, and the Halo series. We also both really like Mass Effect (all of them) - it's a game I don't mind watching him play because the story line is usually pretty good.

Otherwise I'm more of your word game/puzzle game kind of person. :)

We played Guitar Hero too on PS2. We were addicted! But then the disk got scratched due to being used so many times and we can't play it anymore without lagging. Then my younger sister and I started playing Nancy Drew PC games. We buy them every time they release new ones, sometimes we even pre-ordered because we couldn't wait!

Elder daughter loves to help my husband play whatever it is he's into at the time. Currently, it's some kind of Lego superhero thing. Both my girls also love to watch YouTube videos of other people playing Super Mario games. Which I think is weird. But ok. lol

I occasionally get into puzzle-type games (Tetris, Bejeweled, etc.) and in grad school I got really into Nethack, which isn't really a "video" game, but it was fun. Now I'd rather scrap. ;)

ETA: ED also loves to play Putt Putt and Pajama Sam games on her own. YD is still a bit young for it but she does play Toca Boca games on the iPad.

Hello.
I am a nerd.

I play Pokemon on my Nintendo 3DS. It's kind of me reaching back into my childhood (I had Pokemon Yellow as a child) and playing again. It's addicting and oddly relaxing.

I used to play the Sims 3, but I get bored too easily. Besides, the Sims 4 is supposed to come out soon!

sid meyer's civilization v. oh inner nerd.

also board games on the computer count as video games too right?

I could probably count on one hand the times I've used our Wii with the kids, and I don't have any game apps on my phone.
