I love my kids, I do. we had a little bit of snow this morning, then it rained and the snow went away...
then they closed the school 2 hours early.
They are all in bedrooms happy playing..but goodness!
:tantrum <----me :giggle

we had a bit of snow this AM but it was the opposite effect over here. 2 hr delay. my poor high schooler got up at 5:30 am and i didn't even know it snowed until 6:15 when he was heading out the door. i saw the email from the school district and was like "wha?!!". it is really dark out at that time so i couldn't tell. he wasn't too happy with me! at least my middle schooler got to sleep in a bit.

that is weird that they would close early if it was just rain and all melted ... sometimes the powers that be make no sense.

Glad they are keeping themselves amused.

What's a snow day? I need a snow day......not looking like we are going to get any this year. On the flip side, no big snowstorm for me to freak out over driving in, lol.

update...no snow...but it will be cold 17 degrees, so a 2hour delay tomorrow....so late night tonight, and waffles in the morning!

Here the buses stop running, but school stays open. Not for snow mind you, but if it goes below -30C they stop the buses. So then every parent has to drive the kids in to school.

We are the same Heather. Even last year with all the snow only one of ours was for actual snowfall, we had a couple due to temperature and one because of the wind causing drifting so some of the back roads were not safe. We maybe have one 'snow day' a year, last year there was four, quite unusual.

Think we got a couple inches yesterday, warmed up today and now slush :)

Just realized you are on a different time zone than I am, probably. ;) It's 9:30 here, I figured they'd be up and getting ready!!

Yay for waffles!

Um, and I admit I did not know it snows in New Mexico. I really have no geographical sense whatsoever. At least I know where I am.:giggle

yes to waffles!!!
snow...here in London EVERYTHINg stops..... which doesn't much affect me, but all schools close, even shops are forced to close early, buses are unable to run, trains run with delay....not nice if you need to be out!
