I know we've got a month and a half left of 2011, but I was wondering if anyone was attempting it in the new year. I got as far as November in 2010 and regretted not finishing it but I just didn't have it in me anymore. I need to be more organized about it though. Does anyone have a tried and true method?

i'll definitely be attempting it ... i try every year! :) haha - still have never finished, but oh well ...

i have a full p365 album from 2010. i started on a new on this year, but by april my inspiration just blew out the window.
next year i'll definitely try again, but maybe a p52 in stead. a little less work (i hope!) :whistle

I managed to keep up with my P365 album this year and am so happy I did. I love my pages and can't wait to see them in a printed book. I kept things simple and I think that is what enabled me to stick with it. Here is what worked for me:

1. I can pull a page together in under 20 minutes with the templates I used (Val's).
2. I didn't pressure myself to get a picture a day, just 7 a week.
3. I kept the journaling to a minimum on the weekly pages and included a monthly summary with more details.
4. I usually do two or three weeks at a time.
5. I uploaded the pages to the blurb book I am making throughout the year, keeps me motivated to see the finished project.

Next year I am probably going to switch to Project Life in paper format but I am scared it won't be as easy to keep up with. Only time will tell...

I did it (and finished) in 2010, but then fell off the wagon in 2011. I'm going to do it in 2012. I'm going to do it much less structured, though. Easy templates, and not sweating it if I miss a day or 2. Looking back at my 2010 book I realized... it doesn't really matter if we stopped the ice cream truck on July 12th or 20th. So, I'm not going to worry about specifically dating the pictures, or making sure there's one for every single day. I'm also not going to worry about journaling for every single picture, since that was the worst part for me, making the journaling fit in there and lining it up with the dates and all that. Some photos are self explanatory.

So basically, I'm going to half-arse it. :giggle

I'm gonna attempt P52 again this year... I'm really bummed that I didn't complete it for 2011... I'm just not organized enough I think.

I like the idea of 7 a week to relieve the pressure. I want to do Project Life, but I'm waiting to see what the digi products are and then deciding. More likely to wing it with non-official products to be honest.

I did it this year and am up to date at the moment. When I started I really didn't think I could do it, lol. But, I've loved it. I too, don't worry any more about getting a photo every day. I try for 5 - 7 for that week. I did have a couple of weeks with no photos at all, so I just journaled for those weeks. I don't try to document everything going on, just have fun with my camera. I can see a lot of growth in my photo skills this year, yay! I think that Lisa's idea about uploading the pages to blurb as you get them done would be very motivating. I loaded all my pages last night and couldn't stop looking at them. I can't wait for the year to be done so I can get it printed! :) Yet even with as much as I've loved doing it this year, I'm not sure about next. A break is tempting me. I hope I don't give it and can keep it going.

Me. I have done it for the last two years and love it, although, I completely missed a lot of the summer this year because we moved. :)

My third year, my third FAIL. I made it longer this time. I think I'm going to attempt something but not a picture a day. I'm still not sure how I want to go about it.

I am...this will be my 5th year!! :) I am going to add in doing Project Life with it starting in 2012...I'm excited! :)

I completed 2010 - and I love my P365 books! Even DH loves to looks through them LOL I decided to do Project Life instead this year, and got as far as May, then it kind of fizzled out. It bugs me that I won't have the same kind of memory keepers for 2011 as I do for 2010.

In 2012, I think I might try a different approach, sort of like a week in review kind of thing, with a double page or two for each week, depending of how active we get and how many photos I take.

2012 will be my 3rd year. I am doing the same format I did this year - paper version of PL with my digi pages mixed in.

i might.
it was sooooooooo hard when i did it 2 years ago.
but this last year, i've missed having all my photos.
so urgh. LOL

I've never tried - I think I'd loose motivation half-way thru. P52 sounds like something I might try tho.

This is my 2nd year, and it's been WAY easier this year than last year. I don't really have any "method" because I really do just take pictures a LOT but I also use my camera phone quite a bit. Sometimes it'll be late at night and I'll just look around for something fun that catches my eye and just snap a picture of it - random every-day stuff like a kid's drawing or my cup of tea. I did miss a lot of time last year because of moving, but this year hasn't been too bad! I just try to not to get down on myself if I only have 5 pictures in a week instead of 7. I haven't scrapped them yet, but you can see them on my family blog (I'm like a month behind in posting right now LOL)

I am definitely doing it again next year. I have stayed on top of it for the most part and like someone else said, once I sit down to do it, it really doesn't take me all that long, maybe 15-20 minutes. It is just making sure that I am disciplined with taking pictures, being okay with cell phone pictures, and occasionally marking something down to take a picture of and going back and doing that. It has been great photography practice and it also makes me feel like I don't have to scrap every.single.event. Sometimes, just a photo on my p365 page is all that is needed.

I am so tempted by Project Life, because I like the idea of including more photos if i want to, but I think I know myself well enough to know that I probably can't handle that just yet! :)

I started out gung ho for 2011 but then my camera broke and I didn't have it for a month - it all fizzled after that. Instead of just continuing on, I dwelled on the month I missed. Bad me. I'm not sure about 2012 - I think I have enough things on my plate already.
