Is anyone else out there overwhelmed by Cyber Monday? I know that I am.

It's not even December and I'm completely overwhelmed by what needs to be done before Christmas. I want to go shopping, but I just now have found the time to do it - with less than 5 hours left to get it all done. Eek!

I should start making a wish list of those digi-scrapping things I'd love to purchase ahead of the sales. Then I wouldn't be in such a panic! hahaha!

I know I've been AWOL lately, but it's been a hectic November. I was hoping to find more time to play in December, but ... maybe if I'm lucky!

Miss y'all!

I know how that feels! I do keep a wish list & start from there when there's a big sale. I do that with Amazon too. I keep everything in my cart or saved for later & it constantly updates the best price. Don't worry, somehow it all always gets done.

I don't want anyone here to hate me, but I'm done present shopping and I'm so ridiculous, I'll probably be done wrapping stuff next week.
But even though that task will be done soon, my December To-Do list is longer than usual: DH and I have decided to have a little holiday party this year, so now I have to plan/shop/decorate for that. At least my Silhouette will get used lol cuz I'm going to make a little Merry Christmas banner. At least that's the plan: we'll see how much I get done before the party. "Homemade Christmas banner" is low on the priority list. ;)
Hopefully you had a chance to shop today so you'll have new goodies to scrap with whenever you get the chance!

The big thing for us is that my in-laws sold both their homes this year, which meant a lot of downsizing. And my DD needs a costume for the Holiday Ice show at our rink, and I have no idea how to make it. That's why I'm so overwhelmed. Our house has been a disaster zone with extra furniture and boxes of stuff everywhere that we've been fortunate enough to receive from them, but it hasn't been cleaned in months. So now I'm now going room by room, sorting and all, deep cleaning, and re-arranging each room as I go to hopefully have the house in shape by the time my in-laws join us for Christmas dinner! And I've only done the living room so far. eek!

I do love Amazon! We call it ordering from "Brazil" around here. Makes it sound more exotic. "Where did you ever find this lovely item?" "Why, from Brazil, of course!" :giggle

That banner sounds so cool! I was tempted to get a machine this Black Friday. You'll have to post a photo of it when it's done!

And I don't hate you. I've had most of my Christmas shopping done for a while now. We finished the rest up on Black Friday. Now I just need to wrap everything up and get the boxes shipped off. Feels good, doesn't it?
O

I usually start checking websites, going crazy trying to figure out what's on sale, what's a good price. This year I took a break and thought, nope, don't really need anything so I did not shop today. I think this is the first time I've taken a break from Cyber Monday shopping :)

Yay for being so close to done for the holidays! I'm hoping to get our gifts all wrapped before Dec. 1st, too. As for Cyber Monday...I told myself that I was only going to check on scrapbooking stuff from two sites and I have been able to stick to that. The things I purchased today were to help with a gift I'm making for my daughter. So I was glad to get them on sale. :)

Nothing in the regular stores really caught my eye this year, so I haven't bought much. I grabbed a movie for DH, a video game for the family, a board game, and playdough for Matthew. We did get a tree on Saturday from Target with their coupon, and a few lights. I guess I'm just not a big shopper this year, or I'm too picky on prices!

Now scrapbooking, sigh. It's all so pretty!! I totally bought Jacque's store, including the Christmas banner.

@QuiltyMom It does feel good to get it done. I used to work retail and I vowed never to shop last-minute or otherwise stress about Christmas shopping (or to stress out the store employees).
Anyway, I'm going to steal the "Brazil" idea! If anything, it'll let me tell DH I bought something without the kids hearing "amazon." That way I can say "that Brazil thing came" and they're none the wiser. Wish me luck on the banner. I have high hopes, but I should probably lower my standards. *giggle*
And I can't believe you make your daughter's costumes! That's awesome!

Love the Amazon/Brazil. My phrase is usually Amazon is my own personal reindeer -- last year when my son wasn't coming. Or sure glad Amazon delivers for Santa.
I weighed options all weekend picked up a couple things online and then was totally disappointed by the Cyber Monday sales in the stores I had been debating in and bought nothing from them.
Presents are almost done, but finding a Christmas outfit for me hasn't been working so well.

I may just have to steal this!!

I was somewhat organized for Black Friday (and ordered almost everything online, with just a couple of exploratory trips out), but not so much for Cyber Monday. Target did grab me, though. XBox One S was on a REALLY good sale AND the entire store was 15% off. I called my brother so he could talk me into it (which he did), and he had me walk around the display while I was there to see if the Playstation 4 was also on sale (it was). So I ended up buying two consoles that night (one of which little bro is totally paying me back for).

We're also almost done shopping for our families, which is awesome. We've all decided to really scale back on buying for each other and spoil the kids instead. It's made things a lot easier!

I loaded my cart on Amazon last week sometime and then kept checking back through the day yesterday to see if the prices changed. It was fun to watch a few of them drop as they went on sale. I finally hit the button sometime in the afternoon and got a good amount of my shopping done. I still have a few things to get but work got in the way of doing much shopping yesterday. I'm starting to feel the pressure. I want to be done by the time we get out for Christmas break on the 16th so I can just enjoy my time, but we'll see. There's tons of other stuff to do in that time as well.

if only brazil shipped more stuff to australia!
i find shopping overwhelming as a whole - the bigger the shopping centre in real life, the less i want to explore - i 've lost the ability to wander in the shops...

I bought zero ... over the course of the entire weekend. I usually end up buying things we don't need so I stayed away. I need to make a strict list and stick to it.

And I didn't do any digi/scrap shopping either. I need to use all the things I already have more often.

I bought a bunch this weekend. Over $30 scrapbooking stuff. The big spending though was on Xmas presents. I'm not done, but I'm a lot closer than I was!

I was calm all thru the Black Friday/Cyber Mon. Then I got a few emails from the homeschool curriculum places I frequent. HUGE, I mean huge bundle sales. Very complicated in my head. Lots of options and so many different sites with different prices. I finally had it all figured out...about to hit the button.........
and my boys had huge melt down in Writing...it was just ridiculous. I smiled and clicked the big

on the corner of the web page and called school for the day! lol

Steal away! I reminded my DH about it this year and he gave me a blank look. He didn't remember it at all and HE was the one that came up with it! And yes, I make the costumes. Drives me batty every time because it's always last minute. I spend at least 8 hours a day for a week to get one done, not something I wanted to do at Christmas! She's skating to "What's This" from Nightmare Before Christmas. Not a simple one. At least she's wearing her black skate pants and boot covers with a white skating shirt, and "all" I need to do is the jacket and bat bow. I want to do a good job with it because she just may use it for her next showcase program and I don't want to have to re-do it!

I never thought of putting things there and waiting for the price to fall! You are a smart woman.

That's a bummer. But I guess most of the stores are in the US. I love to shop during the year, especially when we're on vacation somewhere. I purchased the presents for both my sisters when we were in Sweden. Easy peasy!

At 20 minutes to 12 I found a sale I hadn't checked out and found an outfit that will get me through the holidays. I was so proud and happy.
But this morning opening my email and seeing Cyber Monday has been extended -- grr. Of course most of them were ones that didn't have that great of sale anyway. I'm not shopping today. I'm sitting down and seeing what I have and creating a plan of action. I only have a couple things for each person left so it will be easy with my Brazilian reindeer.
