Are you a member? I am. And it's killing me. :helpy

:giggle

Seriously though ... I ALWAYS bite off more than I can chew. I have 7,000 things on my to do list this week and have gotten to TWO of them. Two. Deadlines are looming. I'm pulling my hair out. :td

Ugh... sorry that you have so much on your plate. I used to be a lot worse about this same thing... especially when it came to volunteering to do stuff at church. Last year I got to the point where I was so stressed out about those activities that I wasn't enjoying them and so I quit doing everything that I didn't enjoy and learned (and practiced) saying no. It's a lot harder than it sounds for sure, but I figured my family didn't deserve me being short with them because I took on too much. I sure hope you can find some help to get the most important stuff done.

Add me to that list, with an honorary membership to Perfectionists Anonymous. It's great to be a member of both!

I'm TOTALLY feeling ya' Karah!!
I feel like this most days. HAHA

Just make a list... do one thing at a time.
Things will get done, you'll see!

LOL Julie - and I've been a lifetime member of procrastinators anonymous so those two don't work very well together. LOL

I keep adding stuff and adding stuff until I get completely overwhelmed. Then I get rid of 2/3 of it. Then I realize I'm bored and I start adding stuff back in. I'm either never happy, or not satisfied until my life is insane. Not sure which. lol

Boy can I relate, well up until about a yr ago, I finally learned I HAVE to say no, I used to babysit whenever asked for whomever, plus work fulltime, take care of grandbabies, plus daily life things, cooking, cleaning you all know the norm, then I had to do list a mile long that seemed to get longer. In the meantime not much got done, house seemed to be falling apart, I felt overwhelmed, finally I said I need to slow down, do things I enjoy in my free time and things I need to get done. Since doing this I have a very clean house, only work part time, still have plenty of time for my scrapbooking and I watch only my grandkids :)

Ugh! Add me to the list... I feel like I keep going around in circles. Wish there were more hours in a day.

I'm right there with you all. I try to scale back my commitments, but I have a hard time saying no.

Ohhh how I feel you! I have finally accepted the fact that I need to just keep swimming and not let myself think about The List too much or I self sabotage and get paralyzed. It's all related to my curse of perfectionism. I'm working hard on it! :)

Hope things ease a bit for you sweetie and you don't feel too bogged down!

I am pretty sure that I am a charter member of both Overachievers Anonymous and Perfectionists Anonymous. Yeah...pretty sure.

Me too, me too. Add me to the overachievers, the perfectionists, the procrastinators. I've taken so much on IRL lately, it has been tough juggling my time.

I do find that the need for perfectionism really stifles my creativity when it comes to scrapping so I am trying to let go of that, but I still pile up the unfinished pages. Most of my fave pages that I've ever created I've spent the least amount of time on.

I'm so glad I'm not alone in my illness. LOL. Right now I'm working on a crazy Halloween costume that is going to be worn for all of what - 3 hours? And right now I've probably spent 18+ hours on it. HOURS! For a stupid costume! And all this while I have other deadlines coming up like yesterday! And all I can think is how in the world am I going to get it done when I only have 6 free hours tomorrow... :groan

wow karah! 18 hours! you are one dedicated mamma! :giggle my kids are lucky if i spend $30 on an off-the-shelf costume for them.

i am most definitely a procrastinator. that i can 100% relate to.
as for perfetion, i let it go. i realize i can't attain perfection. i'm good with that. although i am quite OCD bordering on perfectionist when it comes to certain things (like cleaning, laundry, etc... when those aren't done 'right' it drives me NUTS).
as for the overachievers club, i turned in my membership and walked away. i feel so much more peaceful not having a thousand things required of me all the time. learning to say 'no' was the best thing i ever did. of course, there are still times when i get overloaded. but all in all, i have finally quit this club, and i couldn't be happier!!

good luck getting all your stuff done karah!

Add me to the club! My main problem is that I want to please everybody, and at the same time I don't want to give up the stuff that matters to me, so I always have too much on my plate. I am pretty organized to I usually can tackle everything, but I have started saying no to things that stress me out, and I hope to be able to do that more in the future.

Guilty!!

18 hours...you are amazing!! I've got about 4 in but I probably could have been done in half that if I had no interruptions lol. One year my Mom sewed me a Scarlett O'hara costume....full hoop skirt and all....it's crazy the things we do for our kids :)

Yup definatley part of the club including the perfectionist club and a part-time member of the procrastination club. Things on my do list got out of hand in July and I ended up cutting a lot of things out of my life {including my scrapping teams}. Oddly enough I have found I am less productive with my time now that I have more of it. Crazy I know! You deserve momma of the year for that Halloween costume Karah! I think I've only spent two hours and only plan on two more for my girls costumes. Crossing my fingers for you that you can get it all done on time!
