Ok, so who was it that recommended this series??? I started it this week, and I am hooked, and totally swooning over Jamie! :beat:luvya I can't believe how big the books are though, and I am only through 1/2 of the first.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for the recommendation! :happyhug

Now if you will excuse me, I am going to read some more, even though I should be unpacking, finishing a blog post for tomorrow, making a grocery list, etc....:helpy

ok..I now want these even more! Sarah C. told me about them forever ago and I always forget. They will be mine soon! :D

Someone told me about these too! I think Shelly G. I need to add so I don't forget about them again :)

I love these books! I have read them all! The story is timeless. I know a few years ago that there was talk that she was going to end the series and I was so happy after reading "An Echo in the Bone" that Jamie and Claire are going to have another book!

Update :). Finished Book 6. I'm quite upset that Book 7 is the last one written... 8 is not coming out until March of 2014! I'll forget everything by then, LOL. I can't stop myself from reading Book 7 now though. But I'm not sure I'm gonna read the Lord John series. Not great reviews and no Claire and Jamie. I did see the Leaf in the Wind book (about Roger's parents, right?). May do that one, or perhaps I'll skip over and read some light, silly fiction next!

I got through 4 of the books... then I got pregnant and had a baby and couldn't sit long enough or concentrate on such a long book. Still don't know how it ends but I did really enjoy the characters. I'm anxious for the TV series though. :)

AHHH!!! I just finished BOOK 7 and there are no more books until March of 2014 to coordinate with the stupid show that I won't be able to get anyway b/c it'll be on STARZ.

Boo and EEK! I feel a little lost, LOL. And this is the 1st one where I felt like the ending left me hanging... I'm actually reading snippets from the next book on the author's FB page.

I'm hopeless, hehe...

I haven't read all the Lord John books, but the Scottish Prisoner is pretty good! It definitely has lots of Jamie in it! It's based during the time when Jamie was living in the lake country after being released from prison, when William was a little boy. And then John recruits Jamie's help for a secret mission.

Leaf in the Wind has a really great moment and answers some questions about Roger's background. I really love Roger - my computer is named Roger Mac. LOL!

And I am so curious about how this TV show is going to work! I wonder how they're going to deal with the time jump? Or if they're just going to focus on the first books? I'm dying to know! I always thought if they made this a TV series they should start with the framework of the second book and let Claire tell Brianna the story and then get into the first book.

There was an Outlander panel at NY Comic Con, which I didn't get to see, but I'm going to check it out on youtube now.
I love this:

"I live with a fan, my wife, and it's my job not to screw up her favorite book!" -- Ronald D. Moore. Much more was revealed during the Outlander Q&A with author Diana Gabaldon and Executive Producer Ronald D. Moore at the STARZ panel during New York Comic Con 2013.
