Organized Fast Five | Pad Patter 9.17

1) Do you consider yourself to be an organized person?

Yes. Although the older I get the more disorganized I seem to be.

2) Do you keep a planner/calendar? (Digital or paper or something else?)

Yes! Digital. My family uses the cozi app and it has all of our calendars, to-do lists and grocery lists on it.
I also have a paper sticky note for daily items.

3) Are you a list maker?

Yes, I have lists for different things in my life: school, SwL work, CC Director, housework, etc...

4) Is your house organized?

Yes! Although my pantry, tupperware drawer and closets get a little crazy from time to time.

5) Are your computer files organized?

For me I think they are organized, my hubby hates how I have my computer organized. LOL! I know I could probably have a better system in place.

Tips:
Stay on top of things. Put things away. Keep lists. Stick to the list at hand and don't get sidetracked by things on other lists.

1) Do you consider yourself to be an organized person? This isn't an easy one to answer! I'm messy and keep too many things "just in case," but I'm on top of all deadlines and important things. So maybe I'm great at organizing info but terrible at organizing stuff.
2) Do you keep a planner/calendar? (Digital or paper or something else?) Pre-pandemic I kept a paper planner for myself plus a wall calendar that had everything for the kids. Now we can fit everything on the wall calendar.
3) Are you a list maker? Yes, always!
4) Is your house organized? Not really. Places like the pantry and kitchen cabinets are very organized, with labels and everything. Throughout the house I know where everything is and can find what others misplace. But the entire surface of my desk is covered with papers, I always have a pile on the kitchen counter, and if the clean laundry is in a drawer rather than a laundry basket I feel accomplished!
5) Are your computer files organized? Yes, they're the neatest thing I own!

Bonus: Any tips to share on staying organized? My phone's brain is much more dependable than mine is! Digital calendars and organizers don't work well for me, but in conjunction with my paper planner I use my phone to set reminders for anything and everything.

1) Do you consider yourself to be an organized person?
Yes, very much so. My previous job + current job both have/had the word "coordinator" in them so they pay me to organize. :)

2) Do you keep a planner/calendar?
I used Google calendar at my old job and would add both personal & professional appointments to it. My new job uses Asana, and I don't have that up/open as often as I did Google calendar so I haven't added much to it yet. Most places where you make appointments now text or call you to remind you so I don't really NEED one. I do have a paper planner that I use the month pages in to write in events (as writing something down makes it 10x as likely I will remember it).

3) Are you a list maker?
I looooooove lists. It makes me so happy to make them, to check them, to finish them. Surprisingly, I don't use lists in my scrap journaling but I use them all the time IRL.

4) Is your house organized?
As much as it can be considering it's 900 square feet and considering the non-organized people I live with!

5) Are your computer files organized?
Always.

Bonus: Any tips to share on staying organized?
Time is the only thing you can't get back. I'd rather put in the time & work now so I have less work and more time later.

Absolutely! I make lists for everything

4) Is your house organized?
As much as it can be. There are two men that live here that do not know what the word means.

yes

Bonus: Any tips to share on staying organized?
If you are going to use a journal or planner, you MUST make a habit of using it everyday. Like my husband says, "They only work if you use them, otherwise they aren't worth the money spent"
