This month, let's talk FONTS! I'm a self professed Font-a-holic and I collect fonts like Rednecks collect car parts. And I tend to keep them all handy at all times, scrolling through a super long list to find the perfect one for a project.

This not only slows my programs, but it's just not practical.

How do you handle your fonts? Any good Font Managers you love? Mac or PC? How do you organize them and how to you get to the one you want when it's time to choose?

Let's chat about it! Please :)

Oh, and while you are here... show us your favorites that you tend to go to all the time. Font enabling is good, hehe...

I organize my fonts just like I organize everything around me- NOT AT ALL ;).
I try to keep the list manageable by deleting those fonts I don't really use from time to time- I have no idea how many I have at the moment. But downloading fonts is a hobby, and most of those I never use, so I just shove them off the list after a while.
My all time favorites:

- Pea Tolman - the font for my daily diary. http://kevinandamanda.com/fonts/fontsforpeas/?s=Pea+Tolman
- Pea Jenny Script - recommendation by amanda (gracielou), it's gorgeous! http://kevinandamanda.com/fonts/fontsforpeas/?s=Pea+Jenny+Script
- Bohemian Typewriter- for my weekly PL, has European letters! http://www.dafont.com/bohemian-typewriter.font
- The Wolff- when I need utmost readability and an individual touch. https://the-lilypad.com/store/The-Wolff.html

For titles, I often use:

- Quilted Butterfly. http://www.dafont.com/quilted-butterfly.font
- Disgusting Behavior. http://www.fontspace.com/misprinted-type/disgusting-behavior
- Sketch Rockwell. http://www.urbanfonts.com/fonts/Sketch_Rockwell.htm

Watching this thread closely as I really don't have my fonts organized. I use Font Book on my Mac, but really don't organize at all with it...maybe I should change that LOL.

But I will say, Maja...posting more fonts doesn't help me at all. A fontaholic like me had to go and download them of course. ;-)

I think that I have used TXT Annesia on all my layouts for the last year+.

Since I save my journaling for last, I think that I'm so ready to be done with my page that I just go with the font that pulls up in PS and call it good. :)

I haven't organized my fonts at all but I really only get fonts from two places:
My lovely friendesigner (see how I did that?) Heather Joyce
and the Pea fonts.

I also splurged a few months ago and purchased bombshell pro. Very glad I did!

I use a font manager that I really like called High-Logic MainType. I love all of Heather Joyce's fonts and the Pea fonts by Kevin & Amanda are always fun, too. They do get overwhelming for me, though.

Thanks for posting about Wordmark Courtney. It's awesome!!

No advice except a PSA to self to purge old fonts I once liked pre-TLP!

i really have zero organization of my fonts, and i often forget what I have... which leads to just using the same few over and over...

i found this review of font mgmt tools and thought it might be helpful. I think I'll go back and take a closer look when I have more time.

Awesome article, Rebecca. I need to read through that more closely for sure.

I don't organise them at all ........ I just type out my journaling then scroll through the fonts and pick what I like best

Mainly I end up using a few fonts by Heather Joyce

You're welcome. The other thing it allows me to do is gauge the font size compared to 'normal' size. I hadn't thought about it until I was thinking of printing 8x8.
I love the Scrapbook fonts, but often a 14pt isn't the same size in every font.

I use ACDsee for fonts, but really looking for a different tool. I will check the ones you suggested, love this thread :)
I love to download a lot of fonts, and I put everything in the same folder for easy search.

OH. So addicted to fonts... any other ideas on how to manage them?
