The other day at the grocery store we walked past the deli and past the antipasta section. My husband does not like that sort of things but I do. They had some kalamata olives which I almost bought but for $6 for a small container I decided against it. I think kalamata olives are my favorite olives.

So that brings us to the question of the day, do you like olives? If so what kind?

Nope I dislike all of them. But my husband and kids go bat sh*t for black olives and are huge fans .. I always have to buy crap loads for holidays
 
I love only black olives. I don't like any of the other varieties, and I don't like the black greek olives either!
 
I used to hate olives. Then I discovered Greek salad, and I now love Kalamata olives. I also like black olives on pizza.

I do not like the taste of green pimento olives, but I love their cute retro look.
 
It has been a long journey for me to tolerate olives. I refused to eat them until adulthood, and then only well hidden in things like pizza (and still I picked out large pieces). Only just this year have I given them more chances. Like three times this year I've chosen to add them to a wrap or salad. I still don't like them very much, but maybe I will someday.
 
The Whole Foods a block from us has an olive bar and it is my downfall! I love that thing! Our family favorite is the Greek Mix. One of my favorites that no one else likes (more for me!) is the Sweet Dolce Olive Mix - pitted green olives in wine vinegar and oil with a mixture of citrus and dried fruit. Also slightly addicted to the Peppadew Peppers that are also on the olive bar.
 
I have never met an olive I didn’t like!! I just bought a big BIG jar of mixed olives at Costco. When describing the jar to my daughter, my husband described the jar as being the size of bowling ball. He is actually not that far off. We are soldiering our way through it.
 
I like olives except for the black ones. I've recently discovered that I like black olives on pizza though. So, maybe my taste buds are changing and I'll begin to like them plain.... I doubt it though.
 
I love olives! Pepperoni and black olive is my favorite pizza but I love olives by themselves too. It’s funny that I used to think that I didn’t like green olives but at some point recently I realized that it’s the pimentos that we’re in the green olives my mom always bought that I didn’t like. I actually like green olives plain.

I'd make it through them though. There was a point in time I had olives almost every day for lunch...with a few pieces of cheese and some sort of fruit (usually apple).

Back in Iowa, there was a lounge/restaurant by the airport that served big green olives filled with Maytag Bleu cheese. They were heavenly. I tried to replicate them but they ultimately went into the category, life is too short!
 
I really want to like olives, but no matter how many times I try, I just don’t. I’ve tried ever kind imaginable. I can tolerate them in a tapenade if they are mixed in with other stuff, but I never seek them out.
