Older Pages: To Fix or Not to Fix

@cookingmylife I so wish I could be like that! But I don't think I can do that in any aspect of my life, and it is something I need to and have been working on. Your pages are absolutely beautiful Maureen!!

@HeatherB I am loving this thread too. I was a bit nervous to ask the question in the first place, I honestly thought people would think I was a bit silly, but I am glad I did. I love everyone's different opinions, and just how content with their older pages some of these ladies are! I admire you all <3

Interesting!!! No re-doing here. Scrapping has evolved for me, as well as my pages, and the stories I tell. I'll let that continue. Previously, all my typo's stay, my pages with an extra "date goes here" remain, and anything else that is incorrect. I only notice them after I print them, lol!

I have a select few set aside for do-over challenges. The pages I don't love will be fixed at some point, but I'm not specifically setting aside time to do that.

I don't fix old pages. I remember how proud I was of those pages and how much I liked them at the time. And that makes me still like them. But I did the re-do challenge in MOC, and I really liked the results. However, it was a page that was from the past year, and hadn't been printed yet.

I scrap yearly books, so I'm generally thinking about the not-to-distant past when I scrap. In fact, my scrapping is generally forward looking, in that I have no desire to go back and document all those undocumented year. Every once in a while I might do a history-type page (like with a childhood photo or memory) and that is plenty for me.

@jk703 lol, yep, those notorious helpful notes from our template designers. I remember uploading my page and it had a big fat "TITLE GOES HERE" right across the middle underneath my title!

@jesskab I like that. I think that's a good option, rather than re-scrapping when you should be progressing with your scrapping.

@Tiff There are definitely some that I did years ago that I love and I am so proud of, but others, not so much. It's awesome that you like all of them still.

I think one of the problems these days is that we have the ability to re-do things so easily. It's like photography, back when we used film, we were very careful about the photos we took because it was limited and cost a lot. Now we can just click a hundred times in an hour and there will probably a good one (not to say we all do that all the time) because we have unlimited space and viewing / editing capabilities and photos are so lovely and cheap!

I think I will still re-do some of my pages, but I might be a bit more accepting of my older pages and give them a chance before I get rid of them.
