I am a huge fan of older movies. I just bought "The Shop Around The Corner" the other day with my birthday itunes money.

Do you like old movies?
What are some of your favorites?
I would love it if you would link me up. Preferably ones that I can buy on itunes.

I love, love, love old musicals (think Royal Wedding, Holiday Inn, Easter Parade, Going My Way).

My favorite movie of all time is Bringing Up Baby with Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant. Makes me giggle. And I love Philadelphia Story as well.

I love Philadelphia Story too. I am a big Cary Grant fan. Loved "An Affair to Remember."
I will check out Bringing Up Baby. Thanks.

There are so many I love! My mom used to watch a lot of AMC when I was a kid and they stuck with me. My faves are probably Casablanca, Breakfast at Tiffanys, Father of the Bride (the Spencer Tracy version), Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolff, Sabrina, To Kill a Mockingbird, Gone With the Wind, Yankee Doodle Dandy, White Christmas, Singing In The Rain... I could go on! I will watch mostly anything with Katherine or Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Elizabeth Taylor, Jimmy Stewart. And also anything that's a musical.

I love "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?" "Mommie Dearest" and "Psycho" <---the original

Don't forget Singing in the Rain -- anything with Gene Kelley--what an incredible dancer. I think Robin & I share the same movie-brain.

I know people who won't watch a movie if it's in black and white, or older than 2000 or whatever-if it's older than 15 years, forget it. I just don't understand that kind of thinking.

Oh, and if you want to include them, the older classic monster movies (Godzilla, etc from Japan are totally awesome and not scary), as well as classic older b&w horror movies like Dracula, Nosferatu, Frankenstein, etc. They're cheesy, but fun. King Kong (original). And from Britain, there's the still scary and classic Dead of Night (1945) and any Hammer film.

Oooh, these sound like some good ones to watch! I love a good 'ol movie! It's been too long. One I have never seen and want to... Gone With The Wind. :whistle

Yes you need to watch it, although I still want to scream at the end every time. I keep waiting for them to make a sequel LOL because I feel like I am still waiting for unresolved things to be worked out from the ending of the first. Apparently it's not going to happen LOL.

I didn't grown up watching movies so I'm not familiar w/ the older ones, but my hubby did - Romancing the Stone and Jewel of the Nile were classics in his house & I've watched them a few times now too :)
