Okay Pinterest junkies...

I am ready to redo our master closet. It's a MESS! It is a huge, empty space, so it has turned into a catch-all. And it catches everything! Ultimately, I am planning on using it for a few things:
1) clothes closet - that's a given
2) Linen closet - there are shelves that are perfect for towels and sheets.
3) Craft room - I have a table in there for crafting, but it's currently burried
4) Office space - hubby's cart desk is in there... he uses it for his work computer when he's at home on the weekends.
5) Extra storage for random things

Sooooo..... show me what you have pinned that has anything to do with closets, oranization, shelving, storage, office space,whatever. I need the area to be very multifunctional and still stay cohesive. Would love to see some inspiration!!

I'm a Pinterest Junkie and I do not have one pin for any sort of closet. And Believe Me.....I should have every pin of mine for closet organization. I'm such a closet slob!
 
I saw a Martha Stewart magazine just on organizing yesterday. I had a flick through and there were lots of these sorts of ideas. I have to admit too to being a pinterest junkie but not really having anything on closets.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a room like one of them in this thread? That yellow and black one is beautiful! Not sure about those lacy ruffles though...
 
Um, let's just rewind for a minute here. You have a CLOSET big enough to be used as a closet, and office, and a craft room??? I need to see pictures of this bad boy!! LOL

yes karah, i do. it was actually almost a deterrent to buying this house. it just seems like SO MUCH space that's not really being used. The master closet is as wide as half of the front of the house, and about as deep as our master bathroom is. it's rediculous really. It has 2 ceiling light fixtures because it's so long. *rolls eyes* So hubby's clothes hang at one far end... my clothes hang at the opposite far end... there are a few shelves in the middle for linens. And the rest is unused space. So over time it has caught a BUNCH of crap... including a cart desk for a computer that we had to take out of Sebastian's room (so why not dump it in the closet??) and a big square chess table that DH's grandfather hand-made for us (but doesn't fit in anywhere in our house... again, dumped in the closet). So He uses the cart desk for his work computer and I want to use the chess table for sewing / craft stuff.

I have pictures... but they're full of my major mess at the moment. I'll see if I can get them posted once the kids are off to school.
 
okay... this is SUPER embarrassing because the closet is SUCH a mess!! I SWEAR the rest of my house doesn't look like this (except maybe the basement with all the kids' toys :blush)

Love how tidy and accessible the gift wrap stuff is when it is stored like this.

Wow... that is a MEGA closet. I'm glad you posted pictures cuz I was trying to picture how you were going to squeeze all of it in there, but that is amazing! Lucky girl!!
 
WOW that is HUGE! LOL I'm glad you posted pictures - I just couldn't picture it! And it has windows ... I don't think I've ever seen a closet with windows! HAHA

lol yes, 3 windows, which means i'm also gonna have to make some curtains of some sort because as it is, you can see straight in from the street (eeep)
