I'm trying to catch up & complete MOC & my computer has been acting up a bit. Somehow, some way, I just completely deleted ALL of my tags in ACDsee & now I can't look up all my alphas, or all my doodles, or all my papers. I'm so upset!!!!

Oh no! That is terrible! Did you have backup that you can go to? I can't imagine how much work it will be to re-tag everything.

Oh no Shannon!! I hope that you can pull up a recently restore!!

Oh geez! That would be awful! I hope you can figure out how to get that restored again. In the meantime, from someone who is too lazy to tag stuff. I just search for alphas and stuff using the store's search. I make sure I'm logged in too so that when I'm scanning through a category, I can see what I already own too. I hope that helps to at least get you through MOC!

Oh Shannon! I am so sorry to hear this! Can you push ahead without the tags for now?

Oh, SO very sorry! Sending positive thoughts your way. You CAN finish even in spite of this setback. Just keep reminding yourself of how much you've accomplished so far and now just a little more and you're done! :)

ACDSee can be a nailbiter if there are hard drive issues or just if it wants to be. I hope you found a way to at least link to an older catalog backup. Retagging a few is better than all...

Gosh, my heart had stopped with beating for a second.
What a NIGHTMARE! I hope there is a way you can recover it somehow.

If ACDSee failed like that for me I'd just freak out! I hope your tags were all embedded and saved somewhere. I have had my hard drive fail (twice) and the tags all came back when I did the restore from my EHD (first time) and Backblaze (the second time). Good luck!

Thanks for all of your kind words!!!! I did finish MOC easily without ACDsee but most definitely lost all my tags. I didn't realize there was a back up database area & never did that so all of my tags weren't backed up. DUH!!! If, and that's a BIG IF, I choose to retag anything I'll definitely back up this time around.

If you do, you can choose to have it remind you to backup your database. The one time I lost mine I had done a backup just a few days before so didn't lose much. But I remember not wanting to take the time to say yes to the backup. Now when it reminds me I ALWAYS say yes! I took that as a sign.
